This collection of three cosy and charming shepherds’ huts are all tucked away in a peaceful slice of East Sussex countryside. Ideal for couples looking for some peace and quiet, these three huts offer you the chance to unwind by the firepit gazing up at the stars.

The three huts - Robins Retreat, Woodpecker Hill and Owls Nest - are all quaint and cosy, with bid double doors that open up to let the outside in. You can prepare a hearty breakfast in the nicely equipped kitchenette, which you can enjoy in the dining booth with two comfy bench seats or take outside in the fresh country air.

When night falls, the dining area transforms into your bedroom thanks to a fab fold down king size bed. Thanks to the location, you’ll be able to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep with nothing but the sound of birdsong and the gentle rustling of the trees.

Each of the huts also has its own flushing toilet and has central heating to ensure you stay toasty and warm all year round. There’s also a piping hot shower, so you can start the day in style! After your shower take your morning coffee outside and gaze out over the orchard and the river, with the beautiful setting helping you to truly unwind.

As well as your own firepit, there’s also a BBQ for some alfresco grilling. And, should you wish to enjoy a bit of added luxury during your stay you can pre-book the wood-fired hot tub to use during your visit if you're staying in the Robin's Retreat Shepherds Hut for two nights or more. The hot tub comes with a paddle rather than bubbles to make your stay that little bit more serene.

During your stay you are also welcome to purchase some delicious home-made local produce. This means you can enjoy sausages, fresh eggs from the owners’ chickens and lovely homemade jams and chutneys. Sip on the orchard’s freshly pressed apple juice or select from their curated range of beverages like Rathfinny Sparkling Cuvee, local Long Man Brewery beers and a choice of wines.

When it comes to filling your day, Alfriston, a charming village in East Sussex, offers plenty to explore. Visitors can stroll the picturesque streets, visit the historic St. Andrew's Church and enjoy tea at traditional cafes. The stunning South Downs Way passes nearby, ideal for scenic walks with breathtaking views.

History lovers can explore the 14th-century Alfriston Clergy House, the National Trust’s first property. Just outside the village, Drusillas Park provides a fun family day out, while nearby Rathfinny Estate offers wine tastings in a beautiful vineyard setting. You’re also a short drive from Seven Sisters, which offers breathtaking views of the dramatic chalk cliffs along the Sussex coast, perfect for scenic walks and capturing the beauty of the English Channel.
