With its airy spaces and natural colour palette, Minimalist Farben is one of those homes that both looks and feels extremely comforting.
The bright living area is open plan and filled with natural light thanks to big windows. This space features a nicely equipped kitchen area, a super-stylish dining table for four and a comfy L-shaped sofa. The white walls and minimalist design make this a clean, relaxing space, to enjoy your morning coffee as you plan the day ahead.
Stepping into the first bedroom, you're presented with yet more minimalist design featuring pale pastel green and white walls. The comfy double bed ensures a great night's sleep. The second bedroom features another big, comfy double bed and has light grey walls. There's also a little desk space in the corner for anyone who needs to catch up on some work or check their emails. There's also a quaint bathroom in the apartment that features a WC, basin and a nice shower.
You may not be within walking distance to the biggest tourist attractions (unless you’re up for a 45-minute walk to Alexanderplatz), but Prenzlauer Berg is full of things to do.
Why not check out beautiful Mauerpark and pick something up at the flea market? And if you don’t feel like cooking at home (even though the kitchen is well-equipped), you’ll also find an abundance of restaurants in the immediate area.
As Berlin’s epicentre of all things family-oriented, Prenzlauer Berg is a popular spot if you are looking for a neighbourhood with character and liveliness mixed with peaceful, tree-lined streets and pre-war buildings.
Bearing associations to counterculture when it was an East Berlin district, the neighbourhood has since experienced rapid gentrification going from a gritty, un-kept neighbourhood with grey facades and empty apartments to a hipster-turned-parent mecca with a thriving health food scene, tonnes of playgrounds, green parks, and child-friendly cafés.
Much of the former street culture that used to be an integral part of Prenzlauer Berg life is still around, albeit in more polished versions in the shape of street art and cultural initiatives like the former brewery-complex-turned-cultural centre, KulturBrauerei. Prenzlauer Berg is also home to a fair share of concept stores, small boutique shops and some casual nightlife that’s enriched by students living in the area.
