You should know
- Children must be over two years of age and no furry friends please.
- The pool is open from April until the end of September.
- The Coach House has an additional two trundle beds in the twin bedroom and in The Apartment there is a Futon sofa bed in the lounge.
- Hen or Stag parties are allowed with permission so have a chat with reservations when booking.
- Please note that the owners live in the Georgian Manor house on the estate.
- There is no kitchen in The Apartment so you'll just have to let the others do the cooking for you!
- Off road parking available so no fuss.
Manor cottages comprises of four beautifully renovated exposed stone buildings nestled on a Georgian Manor estate. Sleeping 16 in eight bedrooms, this cluster of properties is perfect for an extended family or group holiday.
The Cottage has a double-height atrium flooding the open-plan living area with light. It has oak flooring throughout and a cosy lounge area with a TV, books, and a wood burner for movie nights. It also boasts a well equipped kitchen and dining area which seats all 16 guests, making it the hub of the properties for long lazy suppers and fine wines. The staircase leads you to a pretty landing with hanging plants and wood beams where you'll find two bedrooms. One a master king-size with a balcony and en-suite shower room, the other a super-king that can be changed into twins if needed, and has its own bathroom.
The Studio, next door, has two super-king rooms with twin zip/link beds and both have their own en-suite walk-in showers and heated towel rails. The living area is upstairs and open-plan with fab vaulted ceilings, another fully equipped kitchen, dining table and breakfast bar, and two cosy sofas nestled by the wood burner.
The Apartment is all on the ground floor and is perfect for anyone with mobility issues. There's a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower and a cute living room with its own little dining table. The ceilings are high and there are lots of plants dotted about.
Finally, The Coach House has its own private garden and a hot tub for relaxing with a glass of fizz. The lawned area is perfect for kids and there's seating for al fresco dining.There's a spacious kitchen with seating for nine at the table and a further three at the breakfast bar. The cosy sitting room is big enough for everyone to gather and unwind in front of the wood burner after a long day of exploring. Upstairs are three pretty bedrooms, two with en-suite and one with access to a separate bathroom with a tub for long lazy soaks.
If you're wanting to chill out on the estate there's full access to the communal swimming pool, spa facilities and tennis court. You can also get your boots on and explore the surrounding woodland and lakes before heading back to recuperate in the hot tub with a glass of something delicious.
Explore the quaint village of Bratton Clovelly and enjoy a pint in the Clovelly Inn or settle in for a good pub meal. Further afield is the traditional market town of Okehampton where you can explore the ruins of the ancient castle, visit the Victorian shopping arcade with independent retailers and stock up on fresh produce for a feast back on the estate.
