Relax with family and friends in this stunning, traditional farmhouse with its own separate self-catering barn in the beautiful Devonshire countryside.
Step through the original wooden door into the magnificent entrance hall complete with timber beams and a flag stone floor. This wide space offers plenty of room for guests to leave wellies and rain macs after windswept walks before heading to the open plan kitchen and dining space.
Follow your nose into the kitchen, perhaps a roast awaits after muddy yomps up ancient Tors, lean on the breakfast bar and keep the chef company. The handy pantry has an extra sink plus lots of space for storing supplies to keep guests sustained throughout the stay. The handsome wooden farmhouse table, which can be extended to seat 14, is big enough to hold the most extravagant of feasts.
Sink into the cosy sofa for an after dinner drink or seek comfort in one of the relaxing reception areas. The welcoming sitting room is full of large comfy sofas where guests can stay toasty around the word burning fire. While the library is a grown up space for sophisticated conversation and moments of quiet reflection.
There is plenty to entertain guests elsewhere on the property. The separate barn, which has two ensuite bedrooms and a cool mezzanine, has a great living area with a vaulted ceiling, sofas and beanbags for cinema nights.
Outside there is a fabulous open air barn with an outdoor kitchen, pizza oven, dining table and built-in sofa area. This awesome space is great for pizza nights, parties and alfresco living on lazy afternoons.
The rest of the outdoor area is spectacular with lots of hidden areas to enjoy peace and quiet away from the gang. Competitive types will love the table tennis set-up while those interested in deep relaxation will be found by the sauna and plunge pool - all set in acres of lush, green Devon countryside.
There are many pretty walks to be enjoyed from the front door but wild Dartmoor is a short drive away. For eating out, The Cott Inn and The Almond Thief, both in nearby Shinner's Bridge, come well recommended.
