Contemporary lodge set in the heart of Anglesey, the perfect base for exploring the island’s stunning natural landscapes.
Located in the heart of the island of Anglesey, Lligwy Lodge is the perfect base for exploring this picturesque corner of Wales. This contemporary lodge was designed and built by local craftsmen with big windows and large sliding glass doors that make the most of the stunning views that stretch across the island to the mountains of Snowdonia beyond. Spend your days discovering the beautiful natural landscapes on the doorstep, venturing out on the spectacular coastal path or along pretty forest trails, before putting your feet up and enjoying a cosy evening back at the lodge.
Step inside and you’ll find a stylish, open-plan living area that feels bright and airy during the day with those big glass doors letting in plenty of natural light. During the summer months, open up these doors and extend your living space outside onto the private glass-fronted deck. As evening draws in, the lodge becomes a cosy hideaway as you rustle up some dinner in the well-equipped kitchen before snuggling up for a movie night or a board game on the sofa.
When it’s time for bed, you’ll find a sumptuous king-size bed with crisp white linens waiting for you in the bedroom, along with plenty of storage space and a TV. The contemporary bathroom is just next door with a heated rail for your fluffy towels and a shower. If you need a bit of extra sleeping space, the sofa in the living room can be converted into a sofa bed suitable for an extra two guests.
There’s plenty of exploring to do with the whole island within easy reach. Anglesey is renowned for its dramatic coastline, with hidden coves and sandy beaches waiting to be discovered. Head to Llanddwyn Island to see the iconic lighthouse and enjoy the stunning scenery. Go for long walks along the coastal path, with breathtaking sea views along the way or try some watersports at Rhosneigr. You could also take a boat trip out to the famous Puffin Island to see some of the local wildlife. Head back inland and go for walks or bike rides in the beautiful Newborough Forest or visit the impressive medieval Beaumaris Castle. Snowdonia National Park is also within easy reach, offering plenty of scenic trails through its valleys and some spectacular views from the peaks of its mountains.
