Charming stone cottage set on a mountainside overlooking the beautiful Llyn Peninsula in North Wales, perfect for a peaceful rural escape.
Hidden away on the serene slopes of a mountain on the Llyn Peninsula, this charming stone cottage offers a peaceful and scenic escape. This lovely building has been lovingly restored to preserve much of its rustic charm while adding plenty of modern comforts.
Wake up to the stunning views that reach across the beautiful countryside to the sea in the distance before spending your days exploring the spectacular natural landscapes of the peninsula and Snowdonia. In the evenings, the cottage becomes a cosy haven as you put your feet up in the living room with a fire crackling away in the log burner.
You’ll find the cottage along a remote mountain track surrounded by some beautiful old trees that frame the stunning views. Inside, you’ll find the character of the house has been maintained with its stone walls, exposed beams and traditional inglenook fireplace still proudly on display. The cosy living area is centred around the fireplace, providing a warm and inviting spot to relax together after a day’s exploring. It’s double-height, creating a sense of spaciousness and there’s a comfy sofa to sink into.
You’ll find the traditional kitchen well-equipped for rustling up all the family favourites with a range cooker alongside an electric oven and hob. Enjoy your meals at the farmhouse dining table, set in front of a window with stunning views. Or, you can head out into the garden where you’ll find plenty of outdoor seating and a BBQ surrounded by wildflowers and woodland.
When it’s time for bed, there are three bedrooms to choose from. The first is on a mezzanine level overlooking the living space. It has a sumptuous king size bed and curtains close the space off for privacy. There’s a large family room that can be made up with a super-king size bed and single or with three single beds. These rooms share a newly fitted shower room on the ground floor. The third bedroom is located in the annex opposite the back door. Here, you’ll find a comfy king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. On chilly evenings, you’ll be able to light the log burner and stay cosy and warm.
There’s plenty of exploring to be done in this picturesque corner of northwest Wales. Go for long countryside walks or head down to the sea for a day at the beach. The highly rated Ty Coch Inn is nearby, as is Nefyn’s links golf course. Book yourselves onto a boat trip to Barsey Island to discover its rich marine and birdlife. The stunning peaks of Snowdonia are also within reach, offering yet more stunning scenery for some memorable walks.
