Bring the outside in with the bright, open-plan living area, and gaze out the windows above to enjoy the surrounding beauty even when you're inside. Then, throw open the large glass doors onto the cottage's private gardens, where you can experience the woodland surroundings from new heights. Bask in the sunlight on the woodland seating during the day and curl up with the blankets and sheep-style throws clasping a mug of hot cocoa as the night draws in.
This four-bedroom cottage has a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need, including a range cooker (gas and electric), fridges, freezer and dishwasher. You can brighten up your mornings with hot crumpets in the Dualit toaster and a fresh brew made in the Delonghi coffee machine. The large dining table with bench seating is perfect for reconnecting over a home-cooked meal or enjoying the local produce in your luxury welcome hamper.
After dark, retire to one of the four comfortable bedrooms spread over the ground floor, decorated with botanical prints and vintage furnishings, to continue the immersion in nature. Two bedrooms have a king size bed, one with an ensuite and walk-in double shower and the other with a bath in the adjacent shower room. Then, there's the super-king size bed with ensuite bathroom to fight over, and finally, the kids bedroom with two bunk beds, complete with games console and vintage Atari Games like Pac Man on a B&O TV monitor.
When you can tear yourself away from the private garden, it's time to explore the beauty of the local area. Eryri's (Snowdonia) stunning National Park is just a short drive away, with 823 square miles of forests and valleys to explore on foot. For your beach fix, pop over the bridge to beautiful Angelsey for miles of golden sands. The North Wales coastal path is a must, and for those who fancy a challenge, you can take yourself to the summit of Snowdon. There are also historical and cultural things to see and do, like scenic adventure on the Snowdon Mountain Railway or a visit to Caernarfon Castle. However you spend your break, a haven away from home awaits you at Marina Cottage.
