A stay at Upper Valley Farmhouse will guarantee a few things: peace, quiet, stunning views, and the chance to recharge one's batteries in a wondrously undisturbed setting. The Farmhouse lies on the edge of the Berwyn range, an area of picturesque Welsh countryside. The property itself is set on a working farm complete with live animals. The house has been lovingly refurbished, while still retaining its rustic feel and much of the original period features. Sleeping up to eight people, this is a stay that is perfect for families or a small group of friends. With its rural setting, quaint décor and farmyard charm, you’re sure to lose yourself in this Berwyn gem.
The Farmhouse has been meticulously restored by the owners, with period features and heavy timber paneling throughout. On the ground floor there is a large - yet cosy - living space, complete with its own large rustic fireplace. There is a (fully equipped) kitchen and dining area with seating for up to 10 people. There is also an inglenook fireplace along with a cosy sofa and two armchairs.
Both of the bathrooms are housed on the ground floor, as is a comfortable king-sized bedroom. On the first floor there are three bedrooms; a large master bedroom with south facing hillside views, king-size bed, and seating area; a children's bedroom with bunk beds, a table, and chairs; and the forth bedroom with a large antique bed and side table. The house is encircled by a waist-high stone wall and benefits from stunning views of the undulating Welsh hills.
Set on the penumbra of the Berwyn moors, Upper Valley offers guests access to some of the UK's most striking countryside. The area is perfect for those who enjoy a good hike and there are a number of popular local walks to avail of. Less than a 10-minute drive from the house is the stunning Lake Vyrnwy. Snowdonia National Park, containing some of the UK's highest peaks, is less than an hour's drive away - and well worth the drive. The surrounding area is also home to several quaint towns and villages including Pen-y-bont-fawr, Llangynog, Llanfyllin, and Llanarmon DC. You are sure to find a welcoming country pub and/or restaurant in any one of these.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 7 nights high season
