Nestled within four acres of Welsh countryside, surrounded by wildflower meadows and landscaped gardens, this charming 17th century cottage offers a peaceful escape with friends or family. Set in the heart of Anglesey, you’ll be able to explore the stunning natural beauty of the island with trips to the coast or walks through the countryside. Head back to the cottage for a BBQ in the garden and unwind in the hot tub as the evening draws in and the stars come out in the beautiful dark skies.
Step inside and you’ll find the cottage has been beautifully furnished in a contemporary style that invites you to make yourself at home and relax. Earthy tones along with rich greens and blues have been chosen to connect you with the natural surroundings and create a calming atmosphere. Make your way through to the well-equipped kitchen where you’ll find everything you need to whip up delicious meals, as well as some recipes to inspire you using the blackberries and wild elderflower that you can pick from the garden. Enjoy your meals in the dining room, which becomes a cosy space in the evenings with the wood burning stove and soft lighting above the large table.
After dinner, head through to the living room and sink into the plush sofas and play a board game with the log burner crackling away in the background. There’s also a snug next door in case you fancy a bit of quiet time with a good book. When it's time for bed, head upstairs where you’ll find three double bedrooms, all furnished to create relaxing spaces that promise a good night’s sleep. The main bedroom has its own seating area along with a stylish ensuite. The second bedroom features a window seat where you can enjoy the view and a luxurious freestanding bath. There’s also a mezzanine bedroom above the snug and if you need a bit of extra sleeping space, the sofa in the snug can be converted into another double bed.
When the sun is shining, head outside to make the most of the lovely garden. There’s plenty of outdoor furniture so you can enjoy your meals outside and you can pick fruit, herbs and veg from the polytunnel nearby. Rustle up a late lunch on the BBQ and stay out late into the evening, gathered around the fire pit, toasting marshmallows and planning the next day’s adventures.
Located in the heart of the island, the cottage is perfectly located for exploring its beautiful scenery and cultural attractions. Hop in the car and head out for a day at the coast where you’ll find stretches of golden sand such as Newborough Beach with its views of Snowdonia. Head out along the Anglesey Coastal Path for breathtaking scenery and discover hidden coves and villages along the way. For a bit of culture, spend an afternoon at the stunning Plas Newydd House and Gardens or visit the medieval Beaumaris Castle and learn about the island’s history.
