Perched on the tranquil banks of the Mells River in beautiful Somerset, Iron Mill House is your luxurious escape in the wonderful Westcountry. Built in 1860 and converted in the 1970s, it features grand open-plan living spaces, stylish interiors and a private walled garden with a wood-fired hot tub. This is the perfect spot for watching the sunset with a glass of something cold. Nestled on the edge of Frome, Iron Mill House is easily accessible from Bristol, Southampton, Oxford and London.
As you approach Iron Mill House, the imposing stone building stands out against the green countryside. Weathered and standing the test of time, the hardy exterior belies the modern luxuries and home comforts inside. The huge open-plan living and dining area stretches around a grand industrial staircase, while wooden floors and low ceilings create a cosy space to relax, recharge and reconnect with friends. Sink into the plush sofas around the smart TV to spend those lazy evenings with the ones you love, or gather around the large dining table for an old-fashioned feast with friends. For a bit of peace and quiet, why not escape to the reading nook with a good book?
The large kitchen is the heart of the home and has everything that big groups need. Fill the American style fridge freezer with fresh, local produce and use the traditional double range cooker to feed hungry bellies morning, noon and night. In the mornings, the smell of fresh coffee and a cooked breakfast permeating the house is sure to wake even the most tired of heads.
Outside, a large, private garden is ideal for lazing around on a sunny day, relaxing in front of an epic sunset or dining alfresco on a warm evening. When the temperature drops, sink into your wood-fired hot tub to soak away the stresses of the day. As the night draws in, it’s time to head to one of the luxury bedrooms upstairs, all boasting fantastic views across the Somerset countryside. The ensuite master bedroom is the one to choose, but a further three double bedrooms all feature the same luxury bedding, thick mattresses and soft pillows to drift off on.

The picture-postcard town of Frome is just a few minutes away and boasts a range of independent shops, charming pubs and delightful restaurants. For lovers of the great outdoors, the beautiful Mendip Hills and rolling Cotswold countryside are a hiker’s and biker’s delight, with miles of trails to be explored. The world-famous Cheddar Gorge is a must-visit during your stay, while historic Bath, and bustling Bristol offer plenty of vintage shopping and exciting nightlife opportunities.
