Welcome to Holborn Cottage, a cosy 17th century retreat nestled in the heart of the Peak District. This charming haven offers a delightful blend of antique charm and modern comfort, perfect for a getaway with family or friends. With two bedrooms, the cottage comfortably sleeps five and features a spacious living area designed for relaxation and unwinding.

Every inch of Holborn Cottage has been lovingly curated, featuring antique furniture sourced from local auctions and family attics. The decor is a harmonious mix of Scandinavian modern wallpapers, sumptuous velvet sofas, dreamy beds and a powerful rainfall shower, creating a serene and stylish retreat for you and your loved ones.

Get comfy and unwind in the inviting sitting room, with its deep velvet sofas and log burner. The smart TV and a collection of board games, books and DVDs provide ample entertainment throughout your stay and the cosy window seat and deep window sills are ideal for relaxing with a book whilst enjoying the view. The large stone fireplace with a Clearview log burner adds to the room’s charm and keeps you toasty and warm all year round.

When it comes to meal times, the well-equipped kitchen boasts striking black units, a solid oak worktop and brass taps. It includes a gas hob, fan-assisted oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and microwave, so you have everything you need to whip up delicious feasts during your stay. Chat with family and friends while cooking, thanks to the open layout that connects the kitchen to the living area and the charming enclosed courtyard garden.

The grand oak dining table makes mealtimes a joy and you can also dine alfresco in the courtyard garden when the weather's warm. The south-facing flagstone courtyard, with its stone walls and trellis fencing, is a gated sun trap perfect for relaxing with loved ones after a day out exploring the area. Just across the quiet lane, a table and five chairs await, for outdoor dining, with a sun parasol for those sunny days!

The garden is also a lovely spot for morning coffee or a sundowner, and there's even a small portable BBQ should you wish to get grilling!

Upstairs, you’ll find two compact but fab bedrooms with king size beds and soft cotton linens. Bedroom One features a 'goldilocks' hybrid mattress, an exposed stone wall, a slim wardrobe and views towards the fields. And the second bedroom also has a king size bed with the same hybrid mattress, a high-level loft bed accessible by ladder and cleverly tucked-away clothes storage. A travel cot can fit in this room, though you'll need to bring your own cot bedding. The bathroom features a walk-in shower featuring both a rainfall and a wall-mounted shower head, underfloor heating, a heated towel rail and plush towels.

Holborn Cottage is your perfect Peak District retreat, combining historical charm with modern comforts in an idyllic village setting. Situated in the tranquil farming village of Litton, you'll find a picturesque village green, traditional pub and a community-run shop. Right from Holborn Cottage’s doorstep, embark on scenic walks through Tideswell Dale, Litton Mill, Cressbrook Dale, Millers Dale and the Monsal Trail. Holborn Cottage is just a 20-minute scenic drive from Chatsworth House, the dramatic moorlands and rock faces of Burbage & Stanage and the charming village of Castleton with its caves and tors.
