You should know
- The cottage is set back from the busy A6 but the beautiful gardens are a peaceful retreat.
- There is a river and pond within the pretty, cottage gardens but both have been fenced off or covered for the safety of the guests.
- Mobile phone signals can be intermittent but WiFi is provided as part of your stay.
- One of the bedrooms has a raised platform and is not suitable for those with mobility problems.

Relax in its gorgeous riverfront gardens or out on the sophisticated terrace, playing group games on the garden lawn and sipping champagne at nightfall. Enjoy hearty walks and cycle rides and picnics in the meadows or cream teas and Bakewell Tarts in the picture-perfect villages.
The boutique, riverfront house has been expertly restored and combines its stunning, original features with a modern, country style. Expect dark beamed ceilings and thick oak floorboards, alongside chic, country furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows. Warm, neutral shades add to its refined finish and are joined by hand-picked antiques and quirky, designer prints.
Spacious living areas provide ample space for groups and include large, communal spaces with small, cosy hideouts. Unwind in the formal sitting room or out on the peaceful garden terrace, cooking breakfast in the farmhouse kitchen and feasting around the massive dining table. Each room has been equipped with everything you could ask for and more, including an impressive Range cooker and state-of-the-art mod-cons.
During the days, you can spill out into the colourful cottage gardens, soaking up the dramatic mountain views and listening to the rushing River Wye waters. There’s a relaxing BBQ terrace with an al fresco dining table, where you can sample the delicious local foods beneath sparkling, starry vistas.
Scattered around the house are eight stylish bedrooms which offer flexible accommodation to suit your personal group requirements. There are three family bedrooms, and three doubles/twins, along with an additional bunk room and a room for up to three kids. Each has access to a luxury bathroom or en-suite and is complete with super-comfy beds and premium sheets.
The cottage is just a short stroll from the picturesque village of Ashford-in-the-Water and is in an excellent position for exploring the best of the Peak District. Walk along the majestic Monsal trail or cycle the flourishing river dales, gazing at the striking mountain peaks and remote moorland fields. Visit the famous Bakewell town and its historic market or the iconic Chatsworth House and its sprawling gardens. The spa town of Buxton is also just a short drive away and is packed with boutique shops, pretty pavilions and authentic, local tea rooms.
