This boutique cottage is the ideal escape in the Peak District that offers two-to-four guests a marvellous base from which to head out and explore. The stylish cottage is full of rural charm with exposed beams, wooden floors, and whitewashed walls, and is perfect for a romantic retreat or a cosy family holiday in the country.
The property is centred around a fabulous living and dining area that features super-comfy sofas that are decked out with big cushions and throws. The stylish sofas sit around a log burner that will keep you warm and toasty all year round. This is a great spot for socialising with loved ones, sitting with a glass of wine in front of the fire, or cosying up with a good book or film. The living space also has a number of entertainment options including a TV with Freeview and a DVD player, along with a selection of DVDs. There's also a number of board games to choose from and a bluetooth speaker.
The cottage has two individually styled luxury bedrooms that share a bathroom. The first features a super king-size double bed, and the second has a double, both of which are nice and comfy. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage space as well as muted colour tones, and the king size room also has its own TV. The shared family bathroom has been fitted with a modern, contemporary suite that has a shower over the bath, as well as a WC and washbasin. All the beds are made up for your arrival, and guests are also provided with fresh towels.
The cottage kitchen is modern and fully equipped, with a full sized electric oven, a four ring gas hob, an under-the-counter fridge with freezer space and a washing machine. There's plenty of room for you to prep and cook meals, and you also have all the equipment, cutlery, glassware and crockery you need for your stay! Guests can sit around the farmhouse dining table on a mix of fixed benches and chairs, which offer space for plenty.
Situated in a picturesque village in the Peak District, Applehoe Cottage is just a stone's throw from two great pubs that you must visit during your stay. Lovers of the great outdoors also have all of the Peak District to explore, which offers a treasure trove of lovely walking and and cycling routes, many of which are accessed right your door. Make sure you pack your walking boots! You can also visit a number of Derbyshire's cracking country estates such as the nearby Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall.
