This delightful and very characterful shepherd's hut has been lovingly created to provide a romantic nook for couples or cosy getaway for solo travellers with a dog.
Nestled in the most charming location and surrounded by nature, it would be ideal for those who love to hike or cycle.
You enter via a slightly elevated mini deck, perfect for gazing at the view with a glass of wine, and find yourself in a gorgeously decorated haven with everything you could need for a respite from the busy world. The space has been cleverly designed with the big comfy double bed as the main feature. Decked out in crisp linens, a fluffy duvet and pillows with a warm blanket, it provides a lovely nest to snuggle in at night. Surrounded on three sides by brightly coloured stained-glass windows, you can lie back and watch the many colours refract across the walls creating a warm and homely feel.
A small bespoke kitchen area with handmade cabinets offers a two-hob cooker, microwave and everything you’ll need to whip up a hearty breakfast that you can enjoy at the dining table which folds out from the wall. Comfortable wicker chairs provide additional seating and there’s a wall mounted Smart TV should you fancy a movie night from the comfort of your bed. This lovely space is completed by a wood burning stove so you can keep your toes toasty on chilly nights and enjoy the warm and tranquil atmosphere provided.
After a peaceful night’s rest, you might like to pop on the kettle and enjoy your first cuppa outside in the glorious fresh air with nothing but the stunning views for company. For lunch you can fire up the BBQ and get the sausages going as you crack open a cold drink.
An ensuite can be found in a small hut right next door so you can enjoy a long hot shower in this spacious addition without feeling cramped in the main hut.
You’ll find a haven of footpaths and bridleways leading into the popular Wolfcote and Beresford Dales just a couple of hundred metres from your doorstep. Take a stroll along the River Dove and on to Dovedale, a stunning regional valley. There’s also a very scenic bus route that connects several local villages should you wish to head in for some shopping, browsing or a pint. And if you enjoy a good bike ride there’s a great cycle hire shop just three miles away. The nearest village is Hartington where you’ll find a good variety of amenities.
After a day or exploring you can head back to your cosy retreat and soak your muscles in the hot tub whilst enjoying the uniquely beautiful views that the Peak District has to offer. And why not fire up the BBQ again as evening rolls in, open some wine and watch the magnificent sunset?
