Five Bells Cottage is a fantastic, renovated 17th century cottage that offers an abundance of rustic charm combined with modern amenities. Situated in an unspoilt Cotswold village, the cottage has exposed wooden beams, a fabulous feature fireplace and a stunning, modern kitchen complete with an Aga. Added luxury comes in the form of underfloor heating in many parts of the cottage and there’s also a bespoke architectural lighting system designed and installed by Lightmaster of Shipston on Stour.
When you arrive, you and your loved ones can gather together in the cosy lounge, where super-comfy sofas and armchairs sit around a wood-burning fireplace, allowing you to catch up over a drink whilst staying toasty and warm.
When it comes to meal prep, you’ll love the beautiful kitchen that features stylish dark cabinets and crisp white worktops. There’s also a nice kitchen island here, where you can perch on a stool with a glass of wine in hand as your loved one prepares a hearty feast on the Aga. There’s also an integrated fridge/freezer here with an ice maker so you can keep drinks nice and cool in summer.
Opposite the kitchen sits the grand dining table, which sits next to huge glass doors that open up letting the outside in on warmer days. This is an ideal setting for grand feasts together, however, when the sun is shining, why not take your meals alfresco in the peaceful courtyard garden? The garden is completely enclosed and has a brick BBQ should you wish to grill up some delicious local produce.
When night falls, you have three superb bedrooms to choose from, which have all been designed to provide you with a peaceful night’s sleep. Each bedroom has its own luxury ensuite bathroom for added privacy all of which have underfloor heating.
Tucked away on a charming, peaceful lane, Five Bells is part of a row of picture-perfect cottages, sitting just opposite the striking Norman church. A short stroll away, you’ll find the renowned King’s Head pub – a firm favourite for its award-winning food and drink.
Right on the Oxfordshire Way, this is a dream spot for exploring the rolling Cotswolds on foot. Wander through stunning countryside to Kingham, Churchill or Nether Westcote, each with a fabulous pub waiting at the other end. A leisurely walk to Daylesford Organic is a must, where you can browse the farm shop and soak up the serene surroundings. And if you fancy stocking up locally, the village’s community shop is a hidden gem, packed with top-quality produce, from fresh fruit and veg to artisan meats, deli treats and a brilliant selection of wines and beers.
