This luxury, dog-friendly barn conversion is the perfect base for your next Cornish holiday with enough space for nine and its own private Jacuzzi® hot tub. The barn's striking design makes use of the original steel frame and shape, however, the inside has been decked out in modern amenities, super-comfy furniture, and stylish features.
In summer spend your days out on the 40 foot long terrace that has a BBQ, as well as a large dining table, and the Jacuzzi® . This is a great spot for socialising with your loved ones when the weather's nice. The garden also offers splendid views across the farm to the Atlantic ocean.
A contemporary, sleek space, the main living area of the barn is flooded with natural light thanks to huge bi-fold doors. Slide these open and let the fresh country air in! The L-shaped living area also has a high vaulted ceiling and exposed glulam beams, which open it up and make it feel wonderfully spacious. There's a large table that seats 10 with ease and makes dinner times a joy. Or you may wish to dine outside on the terrace in the sunshine when the weather is warm.
The living space also has a large comfy sofa, a Smart TV, a Bluray DVD player, an XBOX 360, and a blue tooth sound system. So when it comes to entertaining and socialising, you're spoiled for choice. The room also makes use of a stylish wood burning stove, which will keep you cosy all year round, and every room in the property has underfloor heating.
The living area opens up onto the kitchen through a large opening. The modern kitchen is stylish in design and offers great views across the valley. It is kitted out with all the equipment you'll need including a big range cooker, a microwave, a dishwasher, and an American style fridge freezer with an ice maker. You also have a breakfast bar, so you can sit and keep the cook company whilst they prepare your meal. Guests can make use of the separate utility room which has a washing machine and tumble dryer for added convenience.
The four bedrooms are all situated on the first floor, and sleep up to eight guests, however, an additional bed for one more guest can be added for a slight extra fee. There are two double bedrooms, and two twin rooms, though the twin beds can be joined together if required. All of the bedrooms have their own en suite bathrooms for additional privacy, with each en suite having a bath and a shower. The bedrooms also each come with their own smart TV with Free View.
Dutch Barn has been built with sustainability in mind. The heating, hot water and electrical facilities are all solar powered or generated using a biomass boiler that uses a renewable source of wood pellets.
Dutch Barn is situated on Pencuke Farm, and guests at the barn able to use some of the farm's facilities. These include the large lawned recreation area, the communal games room with pool table and table football and boules court. You can practice your swing or play a full round of golf on the realistic indoor golf simulator, available to hire for a small extra charge. You also have access to the 18 acres of surrounding farm land where you will be able to meet the alpacas, sheep and chickens.
Dutch Barn is situated near to the popular town of Bude which has a fantastic beach and great surf. Bude is also home to some lovely pubs and great shops, so is a great day out for all the family. The lesser known Crackington Haven is the nearest beach and is ideal for families and surfing. It also has two cafes and the lovely Coombe Barton inn.
