Situated on Scotland’s much-loved Isle of Skye, this traditional stone property stands proudly against the rugged backdrop of this magical island. Located just a few miles from the bridge that connects Skye to the mainland, Breakish Cottage is the perfect Highlands hideaway.
The homely cottage has been fully refurbished and finished to a high standard. Successfully marrying the old with the new, you can enjoy the property’s modern conveniences while appreciating its original features.
Inside, the welcoming living room has a fabulous vaulted ceiling, giving a real sense of light and space. Through the large, glass patio doors, you’ll be treated to a stunning view of the Isle of Pabay. A comfy leather sofa is perfectly positioned to enjoy the dramatic vistas as you sit and sip your morning coffee. In this room you’ll also find a flat screen TV with Sky Television.
The modern, low-ceiling kitchen is fully equipped and boasts beautiful, exposed beams. After preparing your food, you can sit at the rustic, wooden dining table to enjoy a sociable meal with your guests, as you plan your next Highland activity.
The cottage sleeps six people, in two double bedrooms and one twin. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated in neutrals tones, with atmospheric side lights and solid, wooden furniture. One of the bedrooms is ensuite and there’s also a main shower room. Both luxurious facilities have large, walk-in showers with drench shower heads to wake you up in the morning or refresh you at the end of an energetic day.
From the living room, you can step outside onto the private patio to savour the magnificent views and enjoy the fresh Highland air. There’s also a wooden table and chairs for alfresco dining on a warm day.
The Isle of Skye, with its vast natural expanses and towering peaks, is the perfect place for hill walking or mountain biking. The famous Cuillin Mountains, a dramatic, rocky range, are just a few miles away from the cottage, and Armadale Castle, with is romantic ruins and breath-taking gardens, is nearby. If you enjoy eating out, there are plenty of restaurants in the local area and for all the essentials, the nearest shop is a few miles away in Broadford.
