Blend modern living with traditional charm, while surrounded by stunning Scottish mountains, at 9 Achnacloich. This renovated croft house is located on the peaceful Sleat peninsula on the Isle of Skye and boasts breath-taking views of the Cuillins and the coastline.
Sleeping six, guests enter the cottage into the bright porch before a double height hallway leads them to the lounge. Complete with a wood burner, comfy sofas, and a flat screen TV, this is the perfect place for a cosy night in after a day out exploring the island. A little further down the hallway is the dining room with table and chairs for six people and exposed stone walls, which gives the space plenty of charm.
The kitchen is fully equipped with two ovens, a five-ring halogen hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a microwave. There is also a second dining table seating six people. This dining table offers nice views of the surrounding hills and makes breakfasts with your loved ones a delight. There is also a second seating area in the kitchen space which is in the ideal spot for taking in the beautiful sea views in comfort. Coming off the kitchen is a utility room with two washer/dryers for added convenience.
Guests can get upstairs from two directions. The first is via a spiral staircase in the kitchen and leads to the master bedroom, which has a super-king size bed, seated area, and amazing sea and mountain views. It also has an en-suite bathroom with a bath with a shower overhead for added privacy.
A separate staircase from the main hallway then goes to the other two bedrooms, both of which also have super-king size beds - although these can be set up as twin beds upon request. These rooms have views of the crofts and the hills and share the family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Outside, 9 Achnacloich is surrounded by a grassy garden with a picnic bench and there is parking for three cars at the front of the house. However, its location in South Skye means that natural beauty is also right on your doorstep. Sleat is known as ‘the garden of Skye’ and is steeped in Gaelic culture and is home to Armadale Castle. There are also many walks around the area, with the views across Loch Eishort particularly spectacular.
