Suspended among the foliage of rustic Warwickshire, Bob’s Lodge is an architecturally unique combination of innovative buildings capable of accommodating up to eight guests. Incorporating a timber two storey house cantilevered off a natural bank and a geodesic dome atop a decking which sleeps two, Bob’s Lodge is the holiday option for families and friends looking for a magical time away in the beauty of the Midlands.
Bob’s Lodge is a recently built dwelling, designed to bring the aesthetics of the outside into the home. It makes use of large windows, natural construction materials, and the contours of the land to create a home which seamlessly blends into the surrounding environment. On the ground floor, a large king-sized bedroom and en-suite full bathroom are ideal for guests with limited mobility. On this floor you’ll also find a substantially sized main living space which combines kitchen, dining room and lounge. As well as 43 Inch Smart TV with integrated DVD player and Wi-Fi enabled speaker system, there's also a set of binoculars, through which you can watch the moorhens, woodpeckers and even a heron which grace the garden.
The kitchen amenities are first class in the curved kitchen, encompassing a gas hob and electric oven, fridge and freezer, and microwave, as well as a combined washer/dryer. One of the best features of this area is the window, through which two ponies can be seen grazing. Look a little further and you can make out Edgehill, a a famous battlefield landmark.
Upstairs, a large children’s space offers toys, a children’s sofa, and a television. On this floor you’ll find two large further bedrooms, a double and twin singles, both sharing a sizeable full bathroom.
There’s also plenty of outside space with the main deck area offering a wonderful spot for some al fresco dining. There’s also some hammocks, wooden ergonomic sun loungers, a charcoal pizza oven and gas barbecue located here. You can also walk across a bridge from here to another deck that is built around a willow tree. This second deck is home to the geodesic dome where guests can get a great night’s sleep in the super-king sized circular bed or gaze at the stars through the telescope.
The third deck houses the six seater hot tub, as well as a bluetooth player meaning you can enjoy your favourite tunes whilst soaking in the tub. There’s also colour changing lights and a champagne bucket not too far away. You can even go down the four meter slide to access your own private garden (there are also steps for the less adventurous).
Bob’s Lodge is a dream property, offering serious comfort in an architecturally quirky setting with ample space for up to eight guests. The surrounding region is charming, and brimming with well regarded eateries, including the Castle at Edgehill, with its enviable views just five minutes away. Book a window seat and enquire about their open air film screenings. The Peacock at Oxhill is worth investigating- don’t miss the Sunday roast and sticky toffee pudding. Historic Straford-upon-Avon can be reached in 20 minutes, birthplace of The Bard and still brimming with charm and intrigue. Groups with an interest in the outdoors are guaranteed to love Cotswold Wildlife Park with its 260 plus animal species.
