The Pavilion was once a writer's retreat and this is evident in its quiet and peaceful setting. With all of the living and sleeping area in one long 30 foot space, complete with vaulted and beamed ceilings, this is a perfect retreat for romantic couples wanting to get away from it all.
This sunny studio accommodation has generous proportions and is beautifully decorated with pale soothing tones throughout. The first thing you'll notice is that despite being on the edge of a lovely Cotswold village, the property feels wonderfully isolated, immersed in nature with panoramic views across farmland and forest.
French windows run the length of the property letting in plenty of light and creating a cheerful, calm setting in which to unwind and get back to nature. Everything has been finished to a very high standard with a cute corner kitchen equipped with everything you could need to prepare a romantic meal. There's a small Parisian style round table with wrought iron chairs and two comfy armchairs facing either the lovely rolling fields outside or the Smart TV, depending on your mood.
A wood burner faces the seating area and the big cosy king-sized bed, so if its a chilly evening or you just fancy the sound of crackling logs, light it up and snuggle under the duvet with a mug of hot chocolate.
There is a separate tiled shower room with heated towel rails and a large farm style sink, perfect for a long hot shower before enjoying your morning coffee on the veranda with the stunning views of the rolling Cotswold countryside to keep you company.
The outside area is particularly lovely with a large wooden table for dining al fresco, a charcoal BBQ and deluxe sun loungers on the lawned garden where you can doze in the shade of the parasol or read that book you've been meaning to get to. Just add a glass of something delicious and the picture is complete.
If you fancy a good meal and a pint you're within ten minutes of some excellent pubs including the Feathered Nest in Westcote, the Plough in Kingham and the Kings Head in Bledington. There are some beautiful chocolate box Cotswold villages to explore within five miles of the Pavilion and no visit would be complete without a wander round Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water.
After a morning of pottering why not pop along to the Daylesford Farm Shop and stock up on local cheeses, crusty breads and delicious pastries before heading back to your romantic idyll far away from the traffic and the noise?

The most idyllic place to get away from it all! We have just returned feeling relaxed and refreshed after our weeks stay at Clare’s lovely Pavilion and can’t wait to return while the many happy memories of our stay will to keep us going over the Winter months. The Pavilion is exactly as described and shown and so much more. A very tastefully decorated home, spotlessly clean and with all the essentials you may need and a great wood burner to keep away the chills on a cool evening. The bed is super comfortable, bed linen and towels super soft. The Pavillion has total seclusion, peace and quiet with only the breeze rustling through the trees and birds chirping to keep you company and the most breathtaking views across open fields and woodland with sheep in the distance. A lovely touch of fresh flowers and a bottle of wine awaited our arrival. The beautiful little Cotswolds villages, good pubs and farm shops are all within a short drive away. Clare is so lovely, offering her friendship and warmth and is the perfect host. Thank you so much Clare, we very much look forward to seeing you again Janet & Paul

What a stunning place to spend a few days! Gorgeous views over fields and surrounded by the hosts beautiful garden - in a pretty and quiet village. The inside was lovely, with everything you could need and with a bottle of wine and fresh flowers to greet you. Clare greeted us and was available if needed but it felt like a very private spot behind the garden screen - your own little patch of paradise! Easy 15 min walk to lovely pub, Feathered Nest, which had a lovely view from the drinks terrace and food was fantastic - would definitely want to stay a week next time!

I booked the Pavilion as a surprise weekend away for my partner’s Birthday, we LOVED our stay and didn’t want to leave! It is beautiful inside with everything you need and the location/views exceeded my expectations. So peaceful and relaxing we will most definitely return. Flowers and wine were a lovely touch and Thank you Clare for letting us stay a little longer than check out time as no one was booked to arrive and stay today. We can’t wait to come back!

We booked The Pavilion initially to celebrate my Birthday, & our one year anniversary. However we also had Pancake Day and Valentines. So pretty busy on the celebrations. The Pavilion is clean, nicely decorated and cosy. With a fantastic view of the countryside. The bathroom is a good size with a lovely big shower. The two radiators are very efficient at heating the Pavilion, we also used the log burner for the extra romantic cosy effect. Close to the popular village of Bourton-on-the-water. A lovely cosy Artisan Bakery/Cafe in Milton-under-Wychwood run by a mother and son. Peaceful and very relaxing. Exactly what we both needed after a day of exploring. Clare was extremely helpful when booking and very efficient at answering questions closer to the time of our arrival. Thanks Caronne & Sean Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.

Really enjoyed our few days at the Pavilion. We couldn't have wished for a better location. Very close to places to visit but off the beaten track so very tranquil and quiet. The property was excellent, the hosts were exceptional - problems we had with the wifi (due to workmen unaware they'd cut the wire) were sorted extremely quickly. Would definitely return if in the area and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We had a perfect stay for a couple of nights in this lovely Pavilion. Clean, comfortable, warm, tastefully decorated, completely quiet with amazing views. Communication with Clare beforehand was easy, and directions clear. We appreciated the log burner as the weather turned bad, but even without that we could have turned up the heating & been cosy. The area is also lovely for exploring.

This was our second stay here. A truly romantic getaway, with those stunning views! So quiet - just the sheep and birdsong.

We departed the Cotswold Pavillion this morning after a very impromptu 2-night stay, and I was so sad to have to leave. What a fantastic find! Claire responded promptly to my very last minute enquiry and offered us the pavilion for the 2 nights she had available between other bookings; she made everything so easy and within 36 hours of my enquiry we were on our way to this beautiful accommodation. The Pavilion is spacious with tonnes of natural light owing to the floor to ceiling window-doors throughout the majority of the Pavilion that open out onto stunning views of fields as far as the eye can see. It is pretty much fitted with everything you could need and is almost like a studio apartment, so much so that I said I could happily move in and live here permanently! I honestly wish I could! There is a fully equipped kitchen as well as a BBQ, both of which we made use of and dined outside in the outdoor seating area as we were lucky enough to have lovely weather during our stay. The interior is clean and nicely fitted out, and Clare had arranged 2 vases of fresh flowers on our arrival which was a lovely touch. The pavilion is set at the front of the main house but is structured in such a way that you are afforded complete privacy. There is a small gate just beyond the driveway that allows access to the trails into the fields, if you fancy a walk or hike. There are numerous quaint towns and villages within short driving distances of the Pavilion; during our short stay we visited Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water, both of which have plenty of small shops, tea rooms and pubs all in a very quintessential old-village setting. We also visited the Clarkson Diddley Squat Farm which is just 18 minutes up the road (though be prepared to queue if you want to enter the farm shop!!!). Overall, a wonderful, peaceful and scenic stay, and fantastic value for money. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much Claire!! Faye & Robert, from Reigate, Surrey x

Clare's Pavilion is in an unbelievably-beautiful location—and even if we hadn't stayed because of its proximity to beloved friends, we'd have been tickled to be in this lovely accommodation—and would definitely stay again. The entire Pavilion affords panoramic view (our favorite in the world) of fields and a village in the distance; the flowers are glorious; and the birdsong is delightful. Plus, the towels are deliciously plush. The kitchen and bathroom are sleek, clean, and work well. Clare is attentive, thoughtful and kind. It was heavenly.

We stayed at the Pavilion for 2 weeks In May/June 2023. Before arrival we were concerned about how much space there would be (we were on 2 months holiday and had a lot of luggage). We did not need to worry as there was more than enough space for both the luggage and the two of us for an extended stay. It was comfortable and had the most wonderful view over lush English countryside enhanced by floor to ceiling windows. It is set in a small village with no major roads anywhere near - absolutely quiet and peaceful. Being in the middle of the Cotswolds means it is only minutes away to many other cute villages, pubs and restaurants. The magnificent Daylesford with its wonderful produce is about 10 minutes away so you will always eat well whether you eat out or cook at home. Our hostess Clare could not have been nicer. She genuinely cares for her guest’s comfort and well being. We have had both good and bad accommodation experiences over the many years we have been travelling and we would, and will, go back to the Pavilion as soon as possible. Amazing little get away! The most ideal quiet spot with plenty of walks and amazing views - even right from the comfort of your bed looking out onto the natural beauty of the Cotswolds. The pavilion was lovely to stay at, very tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Booking was so straight forward with Clare and was great to chat to. I’d definitely book again if we come back to the area.
