Situated in pretty Suffolk, surrounded by lovely countryside, gorgeous coastlines and quintessential English villages, these modern lodges are the ideal spot for those wanting to relax and enjoy all this lovely area has to offer. Family-run Blyth Rise Stays offers guests the choice of two types of accommodation, Lake Lodges and Woodland Igluhuts, giving visitors modern and stylish stays in a relaxing rural location.
The Lake Lodges are the larger of the two and sit near the water, nestled among the wild grasses and woodland of the surrounding area. A large living space features floor to ceiling windows giving guests stunning views across the water. Comfy velvet armchairs and a sofa sit on seagrass rugs, meaning visitors will struggle to pull themselves away from such as relaxing setting. Exposed pine timbers form the ceiling, floors and walls, and plenty of windows throughout, create a bright environment filled with natural light.
A modern kitchen area makes cooking an easy pleasure, so why not enjoy breakfast in one of two king-sized beds, watching the dragonflies and kingfishers go about their day as you sip hot coffee and nibble croissants from between the white sheets and snuggly duvet?
The Woodland Igluhuts are cute alternatives for cosy romantic holidays. These quirky pods have been incredibly well-designed. Guests enter into the light and calming huts via the modern kitchen before coming to the pretty living area. White-washed timber boards cover floor and ceiling and fashionable Ercol-style armchairs sit on colourful rugs.
A welcoming king-sized bed with crisp white linens lies at the end of the hut, whilst a church-style shaped window at the foot of the bed lets in the morning light and offers calming views out on to the pretty woodland beyond. At the far end of the hut, guests will find a modern shower room and toilet, with fluffy towels and locally-produced toiletries.
Both accommodations have lovely outside areas with fire pits, outdoor dining furniture, barbecues and blankets. Blyth Rise has everything on-site so guests never need to leave during their stay but the surrounding area, with its rich history, is definitely worth exploring.

Leave a reviewBeautiful lodges in an absolutely stunning setting Everything provided was to a super high standard and very comfortable. Instructions clear and check in/out very smooth Great location for exploring Suffolk countryside and two excellent pubs nearby serving lovely food Tiny niggle - the shower trays were quite slippery when wet and we had taken my parents who had some mobility issues so maybe a couple of non slip bath mats would be a useful addition but this did not affect the enjoyment of our stay
