If you want to strike out and explore all that Scotland’s Southern Uplands have to offer, then why not try the unique and incredible Wingbeat Escapes? Hire a super-comfy, versatile campervan and explore this beautiful part of the UK in style, going wherever your heart takes you! Or, if you fancy a longer trip, you can take your campervan anywhere in the UK.
Each of the campervans are bespoke-designed, making great use of the Mercedes Sprinter’s long-wheelbase. They feature custom cabinetry and polished parquet flooring that create a calming atmosphere, whilst the super-comfy and spacious double mattresses guarantee a restful night’s sleep.
Whilst the campers are ideal for couples, there’s also space for an additional child on an extra bed, making them ideal for small families. However, it is worth noting that children over the age of three are not allowed, as the bed will be too small.
Each Wingbeat van is thoughtfully outfitted with cosy bedding, towels and essential toiletries. The well-equipped kitchen setup includes cookware, crockery and cleaning supplies.
With Wingbeat, you’re not limited to traditional campsites – you’re free to discover Scotland’s wilder, hidden spots. While the possibilities are endless, Wingbeat do ask you to roam responsibly and stay within the law.
Thanks to Scotland’s unique Outdoor Access Code, you can explore vast open lands and waters. But remember, while you can roam by foot or kayak, vehicle access isn’t part of this right. Many of Scotland’s scenic, untamed areas are privately owned, so be sure to avoid driving on unfenced land without the landowner’s consent.
Scotland’s “right to roam” comes with a few guiding principles: respect for others, care for the environment, and a commitment to “leave no trace”. Wingbeat encourages drivers to embrace this spirit of responsibility, ensuring that every location you visit remains as pristine as you found it.
For those seeking designated spots, Scotland’s forestry reserves often welcome self-contained campervans for a small fee – check out Forestry Land Scotland for more details.
All you need to bring with you is your driving licence, clothing, food, and drinking water – Wingbeat will take care of the rest.
