This beautiful lakeside property is found on a working farm in the Surrey Hills and is surrounded by idyllic countryside. The cabin, made largely from reclaimed wood, oozes rustic charm, with high vaulted ceilings and a delightful interior finished with antique furniture and rural country art. It has all the modern amenities you could need for an unforgettable stay, and you’ll be welcomed with a hamper full of goodies and produce from the farm.
At the front of the property is the large, decked porch, a wonderful place to relax with the family and take in the scenery. As well as outdoor furniture, you’ll find a BBQ and pizza oven for alfresco cooking and even a freestanding copper bathtub where you can bathe with a view.
Wide glass doors lead into the cosy lounge, with comfy seating and a woodburning stove, a lovely spot to unwind with a good book. There’s also a flatscreen TV with Netflix if you want to catch up on that unmissable series or have a family movie night. Adjacent to the living area is the kitchen, fitted with Smeg appliances and with all the cookware, crockery, cutlery and essential ingredients needed for a feast.
The cabin has two bedrooms, a master room with a king size bed and an additional bunk room suitable for children. All beds are fitted with luxuriously comfortable mattresses and crisp bed linen to ensure a sound night’s sleep. The shower room completes the property, with fluffy towels and bathrobes provided.
The decking outside the cabin leads down to a jetty next to the lake, where two loungers are placed for guests to soak up some rays and listen to the calming sounds of the flowing water. There’s also a rowing boat available to use, or if you’re feeling adventurous, why not try some wild swimming? Guests are welcome to fish from the decking and keen anglers will relish the opportunity to land some of the lake’s carp, catfish and pike.
The farm is waiting to be explored, you can forage for wild mushrooms and berries, say hello to the resident Highland Cattle or spot some of the wildlife that call the area their home, including deer, badgers and owls. There’s also plenty to see and do in the Surrey Hills, including lots of great walks and cycle paths right from your doorstep.
Worked up an appetite? Head to Surrey Hills Café for afternoon tea, treat yourself to a culinary experience at a nearby Michelin Star Restaurant or head to one of the many country pubs for a wholesome meal washed down with a local ale.

Leave a reviewWe stayed here in April for our wedding anniversary. We were greeted with a lovely hamper containing fresh breakfast bits and even treats for the dogs! The cabin was beautiful, I just walked around wowing the decor! Fully equipped kitchen, woodburner to stay warm and cosy and dry the dogs off after their walk. My husband caught loads of decent sized carp which kept him busy! I took a bath in the copper tub every night and it was beautiful under the stars. An all round amazing holiday. We are returning in December!
