With a heated infinity pool, hydrotherapy pool loungers, a Woodland waterfall shower and cedar and glass sauna, Wildwood Spa promises relaxation in every corner. The property looks onto immense views of the woodlands, ponds and streams of North Devon, contrasting traditional countryside exteriors with luxuriously modern interiors. Outside, the property combines timber and stone with timber cladding that uses the Japanese Shou-Sugi-Ban method and corten steel borders the roof, disseminating a deep orange glow. The deck area is undoubtedly the highlight for an intensely cosy or “hygge” evening in, complete with a snug undercover seating area and an open log fireplace. For the warmer months, a MORSØ cast iron gas barbecue, sun loungers and an outdoor dining table are provided, perfect for hosting an outdoor feast in the North Devon sunshine.
With a luxurious king-sized bed complete with Egyptian cotton, a projector for TV and film nights, a solid stone freestanding bath and Bramley bubble bath, Wildwood Spa is the ultimate bolthole for a romantic weekend away. The interior is inspired by Nordic minimalism and is comprised of two units or “cuboids” to keep things simple. One unit houses the lounge and kitchen, and the other the bedroom and bathroom.
The living area is effortlessly cosy, featuring a suspended fire and cosy sofas, alongside a game and book selection, oven, hob, kettle and toaster, a Nespresso coffee machine and a fridge/freezer. A selection of complimentary staples is provided, alongside WiFi, logs, kindling and firelighters, torches, umbrellas, an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. Further, the bathroom is a modern instalment at which to marvel, featuring a walk-in waterfall shower and further equipped with Egyptian cotton towels and bathrobes, complimentary slippers, and eco-conscious Bramley toiletries. The Wildwood Spa leaves no stone unturned.
Immersed in the depths of North Devon, Wildwood Spa is a gorgeous retreat promising relaxation and picturesque views alike. Take a trip down to Mortehoe Museum in Woolacombe for an insight into the local coastal and maritime history, or amble on down to Woolacombe Sands for a stunning white beach. Close by in Ilfracombe lies Watermouth Castle, complete with a theme park for those with an eye for adventure. Saunton Sands in nearby Braunton offers up a gorgeous afternoon walk, as does Arlington Court Stately Home and Gardens and Wistlandpound.
