These two VIP Romantic Roundhouses sit in a peaceful private garden, tucked away from the main East Thorne site where there are a further eight roundhouses.
The first of our couples offerings - The Secret Roundhouse offers a more ‘outdoorsy’ feel with wood-burning hot tub and outdoor kitchen. Whilst Cyenfin Roundhouse has an internal fully fitted kitchen, roll top bath, electric hot tub and bi-fold doors that open up onto a beautiful valley view.
Whichever guests choose, they're treated to a stunning space, beautifully designed and surrounded by scenic countryside. Outside the delightful properties, you can soak in your own quality time and cosy up by the fire bowl in the evenings.
The rustic wooden exteriors and grass roofs of the roundhouses perfectly complement the natural setting. Step inside though and both interiors are stylish and modern, tastefully decorated with bespoke furniture and mood lighting. The properties are warmed by log burners (Secret only) and underfloor heating, allowing guests to stay warm and cosy all year round.
The spacious main room of each has a luxurious king size bed to ensure a sound night’s sleep, and you can gaze up at the starry sky through the porthole. There’s also comfy seating where you can relax and a small dining table where you can enjoy a bite to eat or share drinks. Both roundhouses have private ensuite bathrooms with Cynefin boasting a beautiful roll top bath tub for added luxury.
Each roundhouse has a fully fitted kitchen, with our more outdoorsy guests enjoying a covered alfresco kitchen in The Secret Roundhouse. In the warmer months, you can make use of the garden furniture if you fancy some outdoor dining. This is the perfect setting to cook up some of the country’s finest seafood and produce, which is available to pre-order in advance for your stay through East Thorne’s bespoke ordering service. Tempting treats, like gourmet breakfast hampers, packed with Cornish favourites, are available to all guests along with organic frothy coffees and morning pastries from the converted horse box (April - October).
Guests can stay in these couples roundhouses as a special VIP of a bigger group as there are eight further roundhouses on site that sleep up to four adults or a family, along with some pet friendly options if you need to bring your pooch.
The East Thorne site is well located to explore the wonderful county of Cornwall and is just a stone’s throw away from some of its award-winning sandy beaches. You can walk down the many coastal paths and take in breathtaking views, try out surfing at some of Britain’s best spots or hire out a beach hut and watch the sunset.
There are also plenty of charming villages to visit, all a short drive from the property. They include the picturesque fishing village of Clovelly, famed for its cobbled high street, wandering donkeys and spectacular views over the Bristol Channel. Boscastle and Tintagel are around a 30-minute drive from the site, nestled away amongst sandy beaches, harbours and country lanes. Both villages boast some great walks and a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Cornwall is also home to the Eden Project, where you can immerse yourselves in the many different biomes of the world’s largest greenhouse.
