The Lookout is a delightful, purpose built cabin in a secluded and private spot on a working farm with uninterrupted views of the countryside and some curious sheep. It would be perfect for a romantic break or a solo adventurer seeking a cosy nook in the countryside.
The hut has been given its own spot facing the fields with its rear to the farm so that guests have privacy and some stunning sunsets to enjoy.
The interior is small and cosy with everything you could need to enjoy a few days of recharging. There's a kitchenette with a cooker and everything you could need to whip up a meal which you can enjoy at the small two-seater counter table or outside in your private garden.
A king size bed is tucked in at the opposite end to the kitchenette, facing a large window, so you can enjoy a deep night's sleep and wake up to the gorgeous and very peaceful view of the countryside as the sun dapples your face. Put on the kettle and enjoy the first cup tucked up watching the sky and the sheep as they meander about.
When you're ready to start the day you can head through to the bathroom which has a powerful walk-in shower, or if its a glorious morning you might like to enjoy the unique pleasure of an outdoor shower! Only the sheep will be able to see you.
Dry off at the outside seating as you make your plans for the day. You may want to spend the first day just unwinding at the cabin, in which case you can make the most of the wood-fired hot tub, or simply curl up on the bed with a good book.
Come evening you can cook a meal and then take your drinks out to the seating area and light up the fire pit. Maybe toast some marshmallows. And if the night gets chilly you can light up the wood burner next to your bed and get the hut all cosy for bedtime.
When it's time to explore you're perfectly placed for much that this lovely part of Cornwall has to offer. You'll find three stunning sandy beaches less than four miles away, so why not pack up a picnic and head to Constantine or Harlyn Bay or Bedruthan Steps for some swimming and water sports?
Padstow is nearby with a host of fantastic Michelin recommended restaurants to choose from including Paul Ainsworth’s No. 6, Prawn on the Lawn and Rick Stein's seafood restaurant. Be sure to book in advance, particularly in summer! The Eden Project is close by too and is worth a whole day – you'll find restaurants and cafe's on site. And if you fancy some fine wine tasting you can enjoy a couple of hours at Camel Valley Vineyards. Or if you want to keep things simple take a stroll along the coastal path and reward yourself with the hot tub afterwards.

Leave a reviewPeaceful and gorgeously designed shepherds hut! We loved seeing the animals on the farm and the privacy of the lookout. Only thing we thought would’ve been useful was dressing gowns - particularly for use of the hot tub :-)
