Escape to one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the country at White Rose, a cottage located by Whitesands Bay in the Cornish village of Sennen. With the beach on one side and sand dunes on the other, guests can enjoy peace and tranquillity in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The traditional granite built cottage sleeps up to 5 people and has been converted to add touches of luxury while still maintaining the property's rural charm. After stepping inside those staying enter the open plan living, dining, and kitchen area, complete with a beamed ceiling and wood burning stove in an inglenook fireplace. There is a TV, DVD player, and WiFi throughout. The farmhouse style dining table is found in the kitchen, which has a microwave, washer/dryer, and dishwasher, as well as views across the garden and down to the sea.
Stairs from this light and airy ground level lead up to the first floor, which is home to the 3 bedrooms. There are 2 double bedrooms with ornate antique beds and views over the sand dunes that back onto the garden. There's a further small single bedroom - perfect for a child - with a sea view. Also on this level is the family bathroom with shower over the bath, basin, and toilet.
A door from the kitchen leads out into the private and secluded south-facing garden. Bordered by roses and Cornish palms, this is the perfect spot for enjoying the sunshine while sitting out on the patio, or entertaining with the barbecue. All while taking in the panoramic views of the stunning and unspoilt Vellandreath Valley.
Just 200 metres from the front door and guests will be on the beach. Whitesands Bay lives up to its name with its mile of sandy coastline alongside the Atlantic Ocean. This area, along with the neighbouring Gwenver beach, is known for its surfing and wet suits and surfboard hire, as well as lessons, are available locally. Sennen itself has a village pub and some shops and cafes, while tourist hot spots such as Land's End, Penzance, and St Ives are just a short drive away.
