Perfectly situated, in the lush Somerset countryside, within in a short drive of two beautiful coastlines and the romantic Quantock Hills, this converted barn makes the perfect choice for groups of friends and family looking to spend much-needed quality time together. The stunning property is spacious, bright and modern offering everything groups could want for a stress-free, relaxing and fun break.
Set amongst large grounds and overlooking rolling hills and woodland, this gorgeous conversion wows guests from the moment they arrive. Entry is through large double doors, with floor to ceiling glass, into a generous open plan living area which has clearly been designed for socialising.
A huge kitchen, with pretty Farrow and Ball ‘Green Smoke’ units, and a large dining table with plenty of seating for all, will inspire lengthy, relaxed breakfasts and endless dinners where guests can feast and the wine flows until the early hours. The dining table sits by large windows offering diner views out onto the surrounding woods and fields. And the kitchen is kitted-out with every convenience the modern cook could wish for including a range-style oven and double door fridge freezers. As the area is open plan, the cook never needs to miss a moment of the fun. After dinner, retire to the large corner sofas for digestifs and coffee by the wood burning fire.
At bedtime chose from one of the five meticulously designed bedrooms, all beautifully furnished, with beds dressed with crisp linens and scatter cushions, and all including en-suite shower rooms. One bedroom also features a standalone bath tub. The rooms all offer wonderful views of the countryside and the tranquil location will guarantee a peaceful night's sleep.
During the daytime, the West Barn has an abundance of activities to suit all guests. Grab the swimmers and head to the indoor pool room which has a heated swimming pool, hot tub and jacuzzi. After hours relaxing in the water, grab the popcorn and drinks and continue the party over in the cinema room where groups can enjoy movies from the comfort of the large corner sofa.
The surrounding area also offers plenty for visitors to discover. Hikers and bikers will love the rolling Quantock Hills, whilst swimmers and beach bums can enjoy the North Somerset coast or the impressive South Devon sandy coves. For dinner out, or just a few pints, head to the lovely local The Globe which has a great menu and friendly atmosphere.
