This exquisite stone-built converted water mill, was awarded Four Star Gold and Grade II Listed status, and offers groups of four a wonderful place to stay in rural Cornwall. Boasting vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, the Water Mill provides top-notch, comfortable living spaces with modern amenities.

The cottage showcases original features like thick stone walls, exposed wooden beams, oak floors, doors and even remnants of the old Water Mill's working mechanisms. The interior is adorned with a tasteful blend of antique and contemporary furniture, rugs, paintings and wall art.

The lower ground floor hosts spacious bedrooms featuring super-king beds that can be converted into twin rooms. The first bedroom has double-glazed doors that take you to the garden where the hot tub is located. The adjacent shower room boasts a WC, washbasin, a sizable walk-in shower cubicle with a power shower and a heated towel rail for added luxury.

On the upper ground floor, you can whip up delicious feasts in the modern kitchen that is fully equipped with a DeLonghi Dedica espresso coffee machine, electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and a breakfast bar with stools. The separate utility room houses a washer/dryer, iron, and ironing board for added convenience.

Enjoy dinner on the dining table or take your meals outside and dine alfresco at the picnic bench in the fresh Cornish air. After dinner you can get comfy in the lounge and light the wood-burning fireplace so you can stay cosy as you socialise long into the night. Or, hop into the hot tub for a relaxing soak amidst the bubbles and unwind in style after a day exploring the surrounding countryside. There’s also a BBQ in the garden, should you wish to grill up some delicious local produce.

If you’re travelling with kids you’ll be delighted to know that the cottage is child-friendly, with available items like a travel cot, highchair and stair gates available upon request. The paddock field features play equipment, including swings, a 'ship' climbing frame, football goals and ample grass for activities. And you can even visit the free-range hens that contribute eggs to welcome baskets.

The Water Mill is perfectly positioned for those eager to discover the picturesque Cornish countryside. The region is adorned with charming villages, and a network of walking and cycling trails, including an easily accessible coastal path, is ideal for those who want to get out on foot or on two wheels.

For a delightful taste of coastal living, the enchanting town of Looe is just a short distance away, along with the idyllic village of Polperro. The renowned Eden Project is approximately 35 minutes to the west, promising a fantastic day out for visitors of all ages. If you continue about 10 miles further, you'll encounter The Lost Gardens of Heligan, among the most beloved gardens in the UK.
