Nestled in a quiet valley on the edge of Dartmoor, Briardene Cottage offers a relaxing countryside escape well away from the hustle and bustle. The cottage has recently been refurbished to highlight its original character while introducing some modern luxuries. You’ll find an inglenook fireplace, beamed ceilings and slate floors combined with underfloor heating, a 50 inch Smart TV and a hot tub. After long walks on Dartmoor or busy afternoons exploring the nearby market towns and villages, the cottage is the perfect place to put your feet up and relax.

The cottage feels warm and welcoming from the moment you step inside with the comfy sofa and armchair gathered around a wood burning stove promising relaxing evenings in. The space feels bright and airy during the day with light pouring in through the windows and becomes a cosy hideaway after sunset with throws, blankets and plump cushions to snuggle up in while a fire crackles away. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything from fine Sophie Conran crockery to a dishwasher. There’s also a Velvetisier so you can whip up delicious hot chocolates in no time at all, the perfect finishing touch to the day.

There are two bedrooms, both sleeping up to two guests. The main bedroom has a super-king size bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen and a down duvet. On warm nights or first thing in the morning, leave the French doors ajar and let the sound of the stream flowing past filter gently into the room. This room has an ensuite toilet and washbasin while the walk-in shower and huge freestanding bath can be found in the main bathroom. The Garden Bedroom has a king size bed and is decorated in light, soothing tones with a beautiful oak-beamed ceiling overhead.

There’s plenty of outdoor space to enjoy on sunny afternoons, with a pretty garden to the front of the cottage with stunning views of the surrounding valley and a rear garden which is a real suntrap. Lie back and relax on one of the loungers or in the hot tub with a glass of something. There’s some outdoor furniture so you can enjoy a bit of alfresco dining and a Scandinavian log cabin where you can snuggle up if it starts to get a bit chilly.

The cottage is located near the border of Devon and Cornwall and there’s plenty of countryside and coastline to explore. Head towards the sea and enjoy long bracing walks along dramatic cliffs and discover secluded coves and huge sweeping beaches. In the other direction, Dartmoor National Park offers over 450 miles of public rights of way with trails to suit everyone. There are also plenty of villages and towns scattered through the local countryside with friendly pubs and restaurants serving up delicious local produce. Make sure you visit the famous Pannier Market which has been going for over 900 years in the historic town of Tavistock. You're also just a short walk from the local village pub that is only 100 yards from your front door.

A wonderful, cosy hideaway in a quiet part of Devon with good access to moors and several amazing gardens. A sheltered hot tub provides a soothing retreat when it's raining, a wood burning stove makes the cottage cosy in cold weather. Best of all, there's a great pub 60 seconds walk away!

Absolutely STUNNING!!! The cottage is absolutely perfect for a romantic break. We were absolutely blown away but every detail and couldn’t ask for anything more. Couldn’t recommend anymore and we cannot wait to go back
