Explore the pretty South Hams estuary from the luxury and convenience of these two stone cottages run by the popular Millbrook Inn. Each cottage sleeps four guests across two bedrooms, with space for an additional guest in each on a sofa bed. However, if you're travelling with a larger group, you can book both cottages together to sleep a total of 10 guests.
"Sea" and "Land", distinguishable by their respective blue and green front doors, are a moment's stroll from this lovely pub and can be booked as self-catering accommodation or with dinner at the pub included.
The two properties, which may be booked as one interconnected home, share the same clean white aesthetic. Sunlight streams through a multitude of windows to create a bright, welcoming environment.
Living and dining spaces are open plan and on the first floor. Guests will love flopping onto the large sofas after a long day travelling or meandering around the coast. This comfy area is the ideal spot to unwind before and after dinner, perhaps enjoying quiet time with a book or gathering with the gang for movie night.
Mealtimes are made simple thanks to the well-equipped kitchen where guests can whip up everything from easy snacks to substantial dinners to enjoy at the large wooden dining table. The South Hams area has fantastic local produce including wonderful fish and seafood which guests can easily source from nearby farm shops.
After busy days exploring the waterways and beaches, a restful sleep awaits in the two wonderfully peaceful bedrooms. Mattresses are of the highest quality, thread counts are high and towels and bath robes are white and supremely fluffy. Each cottage has the option of both super-king sized and twin beds, which can be set-up as required.
In the morning, head out into the pretty floral garden for coffee amongst the birds and bees. There is garden furniture to relax on while making plans for the day ahead. The cottages also come with beach towels and beach furniture to borrow for days by the seaside.
The Millbrook Inn is in the lovely village of South Pool, within walking distance of popular Salcombe. Sailing fans will love messing about on the estuary, while pretty country lanes and footpaths lead hikers to wonderful beaches and picturesque villages.
