You'll find Kernock Cottages nestled amongst the rolling countryside of south east Cornwall on a private 22-acre estate. Heather Barn and Tree Barn are both beautifully furnished with two bedrooms each, perfect for small families or couples looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Wake up to the stunning natural surroundings and spend your days exploring the estate and the coast nearby. Recover from a long walk along the cliffs with a dip in your private hot tub, soaking up the stunning views before snuggling up in your cosy cottage.
Tree Barn is a bright and airy cottage with big windows letting in plenty of natural light and making the most of the views over the surrounding countryside. There's a spacious open-plan living area on the ground floor where you'll find a cosy lounge to one side with a comfy sofa and armchairs. On the other, there's a well-equipped country-style kitchen where you can rustle up delicious dinners using ingredients from one of the excellent local farm shops. There are two ensuite double rooms, one featuring a luxurious king size bed while the other can be set up with twin beds or a super-king, offering a bit of flexibility.
Heather Barn is all on one level, perfect for guests who might not want to navigate stairs and is set on the edge of the estate in its own orchard garden. Inside, you'll find a stylish living space with high ceilings, huge skylights and exposed beams, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. You'll find everything you need in the modern, solid oak kitchen to whip up the family favourites or prepare some food for the BBQ. The two ensuite bedrooms can both be set up with twin beds or with luxurious super-king size beds and underfloor heating throughout will keep you cosy whatever the weather. Heather Barn is a fully wheelchair-accessible cottage (National Accessible Scheme M3A (Visit England criteria)), with a wetroom and pull-down wardrobe rail. The cottage has 2 en-suite double bedrooms, the second being ideal for carers.
Both cottages have their own gardens where you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and dine outdoors on warmer days. Bring your meals out from the kitchen or fire up the BBQ when the sun is shining. They also have their own hot tubs, covered by gazebos so you can make the most of them rain or shine. Sit back and relax while taking in the breathtaking views of the countryside or stargazing under the clear night sky.
If you can tear yourselves away from your peaceful hideaway, there's plenty to see and do in the area. Head down to Cornwall's beautiful coast and explore the sandy beaches, go surfing or take a boat trip to spot dolphins and seals. It's just a short drive to the beautiful harbour villages of Looe and Polperro, or you can venture to the north coast to visit Tintagel, Rock and Padstow. The cottages are also located close to the border with Devon, making it easy to spend a day exploring the breathtaking Dartmoor National Park.
