A short walk from the fashionable Margate seafront, this stylish apartment evokes memories of the town's stylish past with it's Bohemian furnishings, grand period features and beautiful decor. High ceilings and large sash windows create a bright and spacious environment. Light fills the rooms and bounces off the tastefully-decorated walls. Colour has been used thoughtfully to enhance the character, and the neutral white walls are interspersed with areas of colour, including the soft pink feature wall in the master bedroom and the pale blue used in the kitchen. Furnishings include whicker chairs with comfy cushions positioned for optimal sea views and stylish velvet dining chairs. Throws add both texture and splashes of colour and there is a mixture of stylish prints and fine art covering the walls. The interior is complimented by pots of green houseplants which make visitors feel at home.
The open plan living area includes a meditation space for taking the-out and enjoying some peaceful moments. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is a lovely blue metro-tiled splash back which lies beautifully next to the modern white kitchen fittings and timber shelving. A large dining table, which is positioned looking out over the rooftops and towards the sea, offers a spacious area to enjoy lengthy breakfasts or elaborate evening meals. The master bedroom, with Mexican-inspired decor, features a cast iron double bed dressed with crisp linens and a roll-top, free standing bath for soaking away the day. The bath has views of Margate beach so guests can lie back and enjoy the famous, and fabulous, pink sunsets. A second bedroom was inspired by the host's visits to Greece and has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. Elsewhere, there is a larger bathroom, with a double sized shower, and toilet room, which has been beautifully decorated with palm print wallpaper.
Margate is a magnet for creativity and boasts an abundance of independent bars, restaurants, studios, and shops. It has a glorious sandy beach and visitors will enjoy a stroll along the Viking Coastal Trail. Art lovers will relish a trip to the Turner Contemporary Gallery which might be followed by dinner at Buoy and Oyster. This popular seafood restaurant serves its own Seacuterie which includes fish smoked and cured in-house.
