Mount Ephraim is the perfect place for a tranquil, luxury rural escape, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Kent countryside. Set on a working fruit farm and among 10 acres of mature gardens that boast stunning views for miles, it’s the ideal place for couples and small families to relax, recharge and reconnect. Recently built to the highest standards, and using natural materials, the luxury glamping pods at Mount Ephraim feature everything you need and nothing you don’t.
Your luxury glamping pod is your home away from home, set in tranquil surroundings that encourage you to slow down and take it all in. You’re first greeted by your private, outdoor seating and dining area - perfect for watching the sunset with a little tipple after a long day. As you enter your glamping pod, the natural wood tones and muted colour palette create a soothing atmosphere. Your eyes are immediately drawn to your large double bed, adorned with fresh, plush bedding that invites you to unwind. Thick pillows and warm throws allow you to drift off in peace, with just the sound of the wind in the leaves outside.
Through the pod, the bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet, sink and complimentary toiletries is the ideal place to refresh in the morning or warm cold bones after a winter walk. To the side of the doorway, a double sofa bed and coffee table is your space to relax as a family with some games, read a book or simply take in the countryside through the large patio doors. When the evening draws in, the sofa bed is the perfect spot to tuck in the little ones for a comfy night’s sleep. Thick curtains give you privacy and block out the light, but it’s always a great idea to open them to wake up in the morning as the first sun bathes the room in light.
The kitchenette is small but contains everything you need. Whether it’s making morning coffee and cooking bacon and eggs, or putting together a hearty evening meal, all the equipment, utensils and crockery are easily accessible. Dine around the small table, or take your meals to the outside seating area for some alfresco dining. As the sun goes down, light your fire pit and grab a blanket to spend the evening under the stars. Each pod also has its own hammock for added comfort, offering a great place to unwind with a good book.
Mount Ephraim is a working fruit farm, nestled in 10 acres of gardens in the heart of Kent. Wander the grounds or use it as your base to hike the glorious countryside further afield, before coming back to the West Wing Tea Room for some cake and a drink - the tea room is only open seasonally from April to September on Wednesdays to Sundays and Bank Holidays. Depending on the time of year, easter trails, lambing days, apple and cherry days and even outdoor theatre and music events take place on the grounds.
When it comes to venturing out, the village of Herhhill where you're situated has two great country pubs within walking distance. Slightly further afield, the nearby villages of Boughton-under-Blean and Dargate are the perfect places to get the essentials and relax in a historic independent pub. Meanwhile, the larger towns of Faversham and Whitstable, and the historic city of Canterbury are easily accessible and are a great way to spend a day exploring.

Leave a reviewSimply stunning! The pods are so well equipped and designed. I had a lovely with my 11 year old daughter and dog. The Firepit was brilliant and we enjoyed a couple of lovely walks around the beautiful gardens (there is a gate next to the pod that takes you straight through). I spent a relaxing evening in the hammock admiring the sunset and the peace & quiet. Comfy beds, nice bathroom, decent size fridge with a freezer, WiFi, towels, tea/coffee/sugar along with some crisps and apple juice provided.
