Once the family home to a circus ringmaster, this bohemian touring apartment has been lovingly renovated by Arcadia’s creative team. The spacious yet cosy home opens onto a private terrace with breathtaking views over a woodland canopy, Chew Valley Lake’s rolling hills and an endless changing sky.
At 750 square feet, The Showman’s home is spacious and is flooded with natural light thanks to the full-length wooden windows that also offer spectacular views. It's built for families, with a welcoming king size bedroom at one end and a smaller double room and a child’s single. There's even a luxurious double bed-size sofa.
There is a full kitchen handcrafted from up-cycled copper panels, so you’ll be perfectly set up to prepare delicious meals for the family. An antique wood burner, underfloor heating and a quality sound system add to the inviting ambience created by the rich colours and velvet sofas and ensure you’ll be snug and warm whatever the weather. A bathroom with a toilet and a hot shower means no midnight treks to a chilly toilet block.
You and your loved ones can sit around the dining table enjoying a drink before opening up the doors and heading out onto the sun deck where you can relax with a good book making the most of your peaceful surroundings. Be sure to venture to the fire pit area too, where you can enjoy amazing lake views whilst lighting the BBQ. Enjoy meals alfresco here at the picnic bench and toast marshmallows over an open fire whilst you gaze at the stars above.
You’ll find additional camping space on the large private terrace plus, if you’re feeling decadent, there is a private wood-fired hot tub available exclusively for your use for an additional cost of £70 per session. Enjoy a change of scenery and the opportunity to socialise with other like-minded people in the viewpoint area with picnic benches and fire pits, overlooking the lake.
You and your guests are also welcome to explore the surrounding illuminated woodland and venture across the site. With acres of surrounding greenery to discover and woods to explore, you can live connected to the land, listening to the chirping of birds and looking out for wildlife in the sunshine. Take time out with your loved ones and enjoy summer in total privacy at this unique and magical location.
If you can tear yourself away from your little slice of paradise, you’ll find amazing walks, caving, climbing, fishing and great local restaurants within walking distance plus it’s only a short drive to Bath, Bristol and the famous Cheddar Gorge.
