This cosy yurt has been lovingly refurbished from its former life in Bristol city centre as a restaurant and event venue and now offers couples a romantic retreat in the Somerset countryside. Surrounded by rolling hills with stunning lakeside views, your accommodation is a hidden gem set in 35 acres of illuminated woodland. This secluded home in the woods is ideal for couples who value privacy and a connection with nature, with space for up to four adults in total. You will be surrounded by native broadleaf woodland alive with undisturbed wildlife and breathtaking views where the rolling valleys and endless skies come together and are reflected in the huge lake below.

Beautifully furnished, this romantic accommodation comes with a basic kitchen and cookware so you can fortify yourselves for the day ahead with a hearty breakfast, which you can eat out on the deck enjoying the vista or inside at the dining table if the weather goes against you.

A cedar-clad bathroom extension was added in 2021 and comes complete with an elegant copper roll-top bath, underfloor heating, a flushing toilet and a heated towel rail, all with a view of the woods and the lake!

A double bed and further pull-out double sofa bed offer a comfortable and snug night’s sleep where you can spot stars through the skylight at the apex of the yurt while you drift off. Underfloor heating and insulation ensure the space is kept toasty and warm day and night.

Outside, the sun deck boasts stunning views of the lake and the surrounding countryside. Comfortable loungers and a picnic table offer the perfect viewpoints where you can eat alfresco or just chill out in a hammock. With acres of surrounding woods to explore, you can listen to the birds chirping and watch the wildlife with a cool drink in hand. Enjoy summer in a uniquely magical location.

It's easy to lose several days here just immersing yourself in nature, taking in the views, cooking, reading and generally switching off from everyday life but even though you will be hidden away, there is plenty more to do in the surrounding area. Within walking distance you’ll find local restaurants, incredible walks, fishing, caving and climbing and if you fancy exploring further afield, Bath, Bristol and the famous Cheddar Gorge are only a short drive away.
