The newly refurbished Deer Cabin offers a restful retreat in the Somerset countryside. This unique space comfortably sleeps two adults and two children and has been beautifully furnished in natural wood with warm fabrics and soft grey tones. Built from a reclaimed train carriage with recycled wood, this romantic home-from-home is situated in a secluded spot with a huge sun deck to make the most of the lake views.
Deer Cabin comes with a fully fitted kitchen so that you’ll be well prepared to create hearty breakfasts and filling evening meals, just what you need when spending time exploring the gorgeous surroundings. Take a cup of coffee out onto the deck and take in the unrivalled views around you.
A comfy, tastefully furnished salon, well supplied with squashy cushions and finished to a high standard, is the perfect spot to sit and plan your next adventure. Fling open the door and let the fresh air and countryside views inside.
The inviting beds provide a welcoming nest to return to at the end of the day and a cleverly designed hot shower with toilet means there is no trekking to a cold shower block first thing in the morning.
Outside, the large decked area offers further places to sit and eat with a picnic table and comfortable loungers. A fire pit provides a welcoming and sociable hub where you can sit and watch the wildlife by day and the stars by night. A wood-fired hot tub is available exclusively for your use at an additional cost of £70 per session so why not treat yourself and soak away any troubles in decadent style? Immerse yourself in nature by enjoying the rolling hills and panoramic views of Chew Lake that surround you.
Although you’ll feel hidden away in the depths of the countryside, if you need anything there are plenty of amenities nearby. You’ll find fabulous pubs and restaurants alongside ageless forests and hidden nooks and crannies just waiting to be explored. There are also amazing walks, fishing, caving, climbing and birdwatching right on your doorstep. Bristol, Bath and the famous Cheddar Gorge are only a short drive away if you fancy venturing further afield.
