With a charming blend of classic style and modern comfort, the Rusty Hut offers couples a romantic break on the Isle of Jura. The cabin is dressed in soft, earthy-toned tongue-and-groove panels and the gable end features reclaimed teak boards, once part of the iconic Southport pier.
The hut is tucked away on the rugged Isle of Jura, in Scotland’s Inner Hebrides, and is surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. When you step inside, the open-plan design boasts expansive glass doors, filling the cabin with light while allowing you to soak in your surroundings from the sofa.
In the winter months, cosy up by the fire with your loved one as you sit on the sofa, and when the sun is shining slide the doors open and step into your private little garden. The garden enclosed, making it ideal for dog owners, and is home to a deluxe outdoor bathtub for indulgent soaks beneath the stars. And, if you fancy trying your hand at some alfresco meal prep, there’s a pizza oven and a BBQ available for you to use via pre-arrangement.
The charming kitchenette provides all you need to cook up a feast, with modern appliances making meal prep a breeze.
When the sun goes down, step outside and gather around the communal firepit, shared with other properties on-site, and enjoy the clear, star-filled sky. Then, retreat indoors to the mezzanine level where a king-size bed awaits, along with a skylight for star-gazing from the comfort of your bed.
If you want to explore the area, you can step outside and discover the wild beauty of the Isle of Jura. This remote paradise, nestled off the west coast of Scotland, is a haven for adventure and tranquility alike. With its rugged mountains, tranquil beaches and only a few hundred residents, Jura feels like your own private escape.
Nature lovers will be captivated by the island’s wildlife, from red deer to soaring golden eagles. For whisky aficionados, a visit to the Jura distillery is a must, where you can sample their world-famous spirits. And for the ultimate adventure, hike the Paps of Jura for jaw-dropping panoramic views of the surrounding islands.
