The Roundhouse is a beautifully designed retreat for couples looking for somewhere to relax and unwind amidst stunning surroundings. This luxurious hideaway blends in with the natural landscape which you can enjoy from the outdoor bathtub. Sit back and relax while listening to the sounds of the waterfall flowing into the rooftop pond or head down to the lower level for a session in the sauna. Enjoy romantic evenings in with a fire crackling away in the wood burner, perhaps while you try a few tunes on the grand piano.
The main living space is on the lower level, built into the landscape with the rooftop pond above. A huge rooflight and two sets of double doors out onto the terrace make sure that the space feels bright and airy. The main space is open plan with contemporary furnishings and distinct areas for living, sleeping and dining. A luxurious king size four-poster bed stands in one corner, opposite a beautiful piano. A big comfy sofa is set in front of a stylish wood burner, promising cosy nights in, following a romantic meal at the dining table.
There is a separate kitchen, equipped with everything you’ll need to whip up anything from quick breakfasts to delicious dinners. In the ensuite bathroom, you’ll find a luxurious monsoon shower if you don’t fancy a dip in the beautiful outdoor bathtub overlooking the pond on the upper level. You can access the roundhouse from the top level and relax while soaking up the view through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Head down the stairs to discover your own private sauna where you’ll catch a glimpse of the surface of the pond through the windows at eye level.
If you fancy exploring the local area, start with a visit to the charming town of Ross-on-Wye. Just a few miles away, it’s a pretty town with charming pubs and cafes on offer. If you want to stretch your legs, enjoy a walk along the River Wye through some beautiful countryside or head south to the Black Mountains or the Brecon Beacons for some more challenging hikes.

Leave a reviewFirst class accommodation and high quality contents. Not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties - steep steps to upper level. We were pleased that there was no radio or television but wouldn't suit everyone.- lovely rural setting, but last bit needed specific directions. Recommend highly. It would be helpful if detailed directions could be sent

The only negative thing I have to say about this place is that I am now having to take piano lessons for the next time I visit! The place was amazingly clean, booking and instructions were very clear with great communication, easily the most relaxing place I’ve ever stayed. The surrounding area is great too, walks along the river, town isn’t too far away. Will most definitely be back. Amazing place.
