The Retreat is a truly charming home offering family and friends a wonderful base from which to explore the Lake District. With panoramic views across iconic peaks and a location in the thriving market town of Ambleside, this home immerses you in your surroundings whilst providing a cosy and peaceful place to stay.
When you arrive, you’ll enter through the porch and with its period features and underfloor heated tiles. You can then drop off bags and gather in the spacious living room, which features giant comfy sofas and a wood-burning fireplace that keeps you and your loved ones warm whatever the weather outside. There’s also a big smart TV here, so you can settle in for a movie night or catch up on your favourite shows.
When tummies rumble, head to the superb modern kitchen, that is nicely equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare hearty feasts for your group.
