Surrounded by thick forest, overlooking a large, placid pond, The Pond House is a modern cabin sleeping four adults and two children, making it the ideal haven for an adventurous family or small groups. Located just 90 miles from New York City, The Pond House is set within 19-acres of private land, providing a peaceful sanctuary allowing guests to get back to nature whilst enjoying the comfort and luxury inside the cabin itself. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen ensure there is plenty of space for all, while the open plan living area benefits from gorgeous views out to the forest and pond. Nearby, visitors can take advantage of the many hiking trails, the rich wildlife and adventurous activities galore.
This cabin is a true architectural feat, boasting a high vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, floor to ceiling windows that bring in natural light throughout, and all the modern fixtures and furnishings to make this space cosy and comfy for all.
The large, open-plan kitchen, dining and living space lends itself well to quality family time, while the contemporary wood-burner keeps it nice and toasty in the chilly winter months. Two modern bathrooms, one with a bath tub and one with a rainfall shower are much welcomed after a day out in the wilderness, while the games room and large projector keep kids and adults alike entertained.
Just a few steps from the front door, the private pond can be found, complete with a mini waterfall and picnic bench for outdoor dining. Laze by the pond in the summer months with a good book, or cosy up indoors by the fire, this property offers something wonderful all year round.
There are plenty of reasons to enjoy time spent in and around The Pond House during a stay here, but exploring the nearby area has its own attraction, too. Amenities can be found around 20-minutes away by car, with shops and a few great local eateries to discover further afield. The Basha Kill Wildlife Refuge can be found just 12-miles away, where visitors can go kayaking among naturally beautiful scenes, while Sam's Point in Minnewaska State Park Preserve will satisfy every hiker's needs and top it off with gorgeous views.
