Dating back to 1900, The Old Stables have been beautifully converted and refurbished to provide a lovely home for family breaks in Dorset. Sleeping up to four guests, this property is great throughout the year thanks to its cosy feel inside and its extensive lawned garden outside. The cottage is a real joy to stay in for all ages, nicely blending its impressive original features with plenty of modern touches made for living today. And thanks to its excellent location in Dorset, guests are spoilt for choice for local activities and sightseeing options for the whole family, with stunning scenery all around, as well as the Jurassic Coast just a short drive away.
Throughout the property, there are hints of the building's heritage, with curved walls, high beamed ceilings and original fireplaces being just a few. Out in the sprawling garden, there is a wonderful garden tower which children will love to discover, and it makes for a unique picnic spot too! There are two gorgeous bedrooms in The Old Stables: the first with a sumptuous super king bed, while the second is home to two single beds which can be pushed together if needed. The living room has a grand old fireplace with working wood-burner, ideal for cosy nights in, while the modern kitchen has everything needed to whip up a family feast if required. The bathroom is a great example of the modern and traditional colliding, resulting in a delightful space to relax and unwind.
The property is set in rural Dorset, with greenery and views all around. Based at the end of a picturesque country lane, there is a cricket green and pub right on the doorstep. The quintessential English country village of Hinton St Mary provides the most idyllic backdrop to a holiday here. Nearby, the local town of Sturminster Newton offers plenty in the way of amenities, known for its shops and cafes, as well as a brilliant deli that's well worth a visit. Heading south, families will surely love to explore the stunning Jurassic Coast - whether it's for scenic walks, picnics or beach days in the sun.
