Couples can enjoy an idyllic retreat for two at the North Wing at Trevigue Farmhouse. You and your loved one have the entire north wing of this beautiful old home. It's full of character and has its own private east-facing courtyard which catches the early morning sunshine.

Tucked away up a single track, close to the village and the wildly beautiful Strangles Beach, this romantic bolthole for two is set in a fantastic location on the North Cornwall Coast. Hunker down with a book, enjoy romantic dinners for two, or get out and explore this marvellous part of the UK, before retiring back to your comfy bed for a great night’s sleep.

The North Wing at this historic farmhouse has a lovely combined sitting and dining room. This delightful space has whitewashed walls, exposed beams, and a bold granite fireplace with a large wood burner. Sink into the big, comfy sofa, or get cosy in front of the fire with a glass of wine and chat into the night. There’s also a quaint dining table for two in this space, which is a nice spot where you can enjoy tasty meals together. You may also wish to socialise in the second sitting room, which is also the reading room. This space is home to some lovely books and games, and has yet more of that all-important rustic, rural charm.

The property has a wonderfully stylish kitchen that’s home to all the amenities you’ll need. There’s a Neff inbuilt cooker, Neff hob and Neff cooker hood. You also have a large stainless steel fridge with water dispenser to sample the Trevigue spring water ice cold, an inbuilt dishwasher and washer dryer, Panasonic stainless steel microwave, Dualit toaster, Drip coffee machine, and a Nespresso pod machine with compostable pods to start you off.

Upstairs sits the beautiful bedroom, with nice views of the countryside through the French double doors, which open up onto the garden. Here there’s a little seating area where you can enjoy your morning coffee whilst taking in your surroundings. The bedroom also has a Vi-Spring zip and link bed that can be a 6ft double or two three foot beds for added flexibility. This is a comfortable bed, and thanks to the Panasonic wall-mounted TV and DVD player, it’s a nice spot for a late night movie, or morning lie-in in front of the telly.

The bedroom’s en suite bathroom has a big Burlington sink a fish glass mirror, a spacious walk-in shower, and luxury toiletries for you to use. There’s also soft Christy bath sheet towels and a WC.

Stepping outside, guests have access to an enclosed 16th Century ancient cobbled courtyard, with a pretty lawn. This is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay and has garden furniture, reclining chairs, and a BBQ for you to use. There’s also an old goose house where you can store your bikes, wetsuits and surf boards.

Being located in this amazing part of Cornwall, you have lots to see and do in the area. The popular surfing town of Bude isn’t far away and is worth a visit, with its lovely beach and great waves. There are also some fab pubs and brilliant spots to eat too!

The delightful village of Crackington Haven is also right on your doorstep. This village sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so you really are surrounded by breathtaking scenery everywhere you look. Enjoy rugged clifftop walks, pretty sandy beaches, and lovely coastal pubs before retiring back to your comfy, cosy cottage retreat.
