Your first reaction upon entering The Little Picture Palace will be ‘wow’. This private studio apartment in the heart of beautiful Brighton is the creation of artist Sarah and her partner Matthew. Decorated in Sarah's bespoke maximalist style, it boasts one-of-a-kind murals, art, glamorous decor and a private sauna. It’s your perfect couple's getaway to explore the quirky independent boutiques, flourishing art scene and lively atmosphere of Brighton, just a short train ride from London.
As you walk through the private entrance, your eyes can’t help but explore the fantastic artwork, elegant patterns and the kaleidoscope of colours that greet you. Walking through the studio, throw open the doors to your private, tranquil walled patio and imagine waking up in the morning with the sunshine streaming through and the smell of fresh coffee filling the air.
The fitted kitchen with hob, oven, microwave and full-size fridge is perfect for cooking up the local and artisan produce you’ve bought from The Open Market or one of Brighton’s many quality independent food shops in the North Laine.
After exploring bustling Brighton and its huge range of museums, art galleries, street markets, cafes, pubs and nightlife, you'll be ready to relax in your own private sauna. The Swedish style wooden sauna is located in the pretty courtyard garden and comes with outdoor shower, robes and outdoor sauna shoes, for the perfect self-care spa session.
After a long day your king size bed welcomes you to rest tired legs and eyes. Soak in the large bath before sinking into the luxury linen bed covers and drifting off ready for another day of excitement. As you wake, reinvigorate with a hot shower and fresh breakfast before venturing off to see the sights of Sussex.
Less than an hour from London Victoria, Brighton is the perfect weekend away. Since its inception, it’s been a pleasure town for everyone from royalty to writers. There’s a raft of restaurants from high-end fine dining to worldwide street food, vegan to BBQ, and everything in between. Cosmopolitan and welcoming, Brighton is a famous safe space for LGBTQ+ people, as well as a haven for artists and creatives.
Spend a day wandering the seafront and strolling along the pier before exploring the alleys of The Lanes, the iconic Brighton Pavilion and the quirky cafes and pubs of Kemp Town. Further afield, Brighton is the ideal base from which to explore the South Downs. Catch a bus to Devil’s Dyke, Ditchling Beacon or Seven Sisters Country Park, or hop on a train to wander the historic streets of Lewes.
