The Hut at Rawsons is a truly charming and quaint retreat that sits in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. With superb indoor and outdoor living spaces, this is a stay that truly connects you with nature.
Inside, the cosy, carpeted lounge offers super-comfy sofas that sit around a wood-burning fireplace. Throw some logs on the fire and stay toasty and warm no matter the weather. This is the perfect place to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea or get comfy with a glass of wine and your loved one for company. The double doors open up bringing the outside in, offering you the chance to make the most of the view as you relax inside.
Stepping outside, the beautiful deck has some lovely alfresco seating where you can enjoy afternoons in the summer air listening to the sounds of the birds. There’s also an amazing outdoor kitchen, with an array of incredible appliances that allow you to whip up delicious feasts alfresco making use of some wonderful local produce. The kitchen features a Sage IQ Oven, a slow cooker, a portable ceramic hob and even a Lavazza Coffee pod machine and milk frother.
Before bed, enjoy an indulgent soak in your outdoor bathtub as the stars come out above. There’s also an outdoor shower, and both the bath and shower are afforded plenty of privacy.
When night falls, head to the adjacent sleeping pod, which has a lovely carpet and features a king size bed with Siberian down pillows and duvets. There are also huge windows that perfectly frame the view, ensuring you can make the most of your surroundings whilst enjoying that first coffee of the day in bed. There’s also a flushing loo for your convenience.
When it comes to entertaining yourself during your stay, there’s a record player at hand, so you can listen to some vinyl, as well as some great board games for you to play. However, you may also wish to venture out and explore the beautiful surrounding countryside.
You’re situated on the edge of the Lake District, which offers breathtaking scenery, from dramatic fells to serene lakes, making it a haven for outdoor lovers. Explore charming villages like Cartmel, famed for its Michelin-star dining and sticky toffee pudding. For a change of pace, head to the stunning beaches of the Cumbrian coast, where sandy shores meet the tranquil beauty of the sea.
