Thorney Mire Woodland retreat offers up three marvellous cabins, tucked away in a secluded and private ancient woodland in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The woodland is home to a thriving colony of red squirrels that visit the cabins on a daily basis.
Up first is Thorney Mire Woodland Cabin, a secluded cabin in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, perfect for nature lovers looking to unwind. The cabin offers serene views of squirrel and bird feeders through large windows, while a dedicated stargazing window in the bedroom enhances the connection to nature. A wood-burning stove and central heating ensure year-round warmth, while the rustic interior features a rain shower, polished stone basin and a fully equipped kitchenette. The interior is wonderfully cosy, but when you step outside you’ll be delighted with what’s on offer. Gather around the firepit staying toasty and warm as the stars come out above and enjoy alfresco meals at the outdoor dining area.
The Lookout is next. This is a wonderful handcrafted larch and Douglas fir cabin offering a peaceful escape for couples. The cabin even features a Scandinavian wood-fired hot tub on the deck where you can indulge in a relaxing soak after a day out exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
