Thorney Mire Woodland Cabin is a quaint luxury wood cabin that sleeps two located in the hear of the Yorkshire Dales. Set on a private plot of ancient woodland, this is the ideal place for nature-loving guests to unplug and unwind in a serene, near-untouched location. The property's water supply comes from a borehole, providing the purest, freshest Yorkshire water to you and your travel partner.
The cabin's windows look onto the squirrel and bird feeders and the bedroom also has a dedicated window for stargazing, allowing you to feel totally immersed in the local environment from the comfort of the bed or curled up on the sofa. And, you won't have to worry about feeling the chill during winter stays at Thorney Mire; the cabin features woodburning stoves both inside and on the decking to keep you nice and warm.
Featuring rustic, homely decor and plenty of exposed wood, it's hard not to feel at home at Thorney Mire. The quirky bathroom features a luxurious rainshower and polished stone basin, further adding to the natural feel of the property. Self-catering guests will be pleased to find that the property boasts a fully-equipped kitchenette, including a hob, oven, fridge, freezer, utensils and everything else you'd need to whip up a warming meal.
If cooking alfresco is more your thing, then Thorney Mire's firepit will make meal prep a joy. The Yorkshire Dales are an absolute must-see for nature lovers in particular. One of the UK's largest and most iconic National Parks, the Yorkshire Dales are home to countless stunning hikes, cycle paths, villages and ruins. Highlights include the epic vista of the Ribblehead Viaduct, the serene waterfall Janet's Foss, Bolton and Skipton Castles and the peak of Ingleton, which also features some impressive fortress ruins from the 12th century. You're also a 10 minute drive from the Yorkshire Three Peaks, and there are numerous wild swimming opportunities in the area too.
