Set out on your own legendary quest at this mythical hideaway in the heart of rural Suffolk. With a magical location and an enchanting design, you can have an epic adventure, fairy tale-style.
The cosy retreat is an historic horse box that has been lovingly transformed into a luxury hut. Settled in a wildlife site within White House Farm, it is surrounded by ancient forests, stunning glades and endless, wildflower meadows. Large wheels keep it raised above the meadow, while handcrafted steps lead up to the wooden porch. Behind the front door lies a wood-lined interior that is destined to live up to your fellowship criteria. Crammed with quirky little trinkets for that authentic touch, it has a myriad of lanterns, goblets and interesting books.
The open plan living area has a quaint, country kitchen with a gas hob and oven and a pull-out dining table. Portal windows peer out over the Shire and are joined by stained glass cut-outs and antiquated cupboards. A vintage sofa sits beside the toasty wood burner which provides plenty of warmth in even the coldest winters. A curtained opening leads through to the intimate bedroom which has a double wooden bunkbed with sumptuous bedding.
Plenty of home comforts can be found throughout, including electric wall lights and a private bathroom. Located in its own hut just across the terrace, the contemporary bathroom has a flushing toilet and a hot water shower. A BBQ and picnic area can also be found outside, along with sun-yourself deckchairs and a swinging hammock. With no TV’s or Wi-Fi to get in your way, you can forget about the everyday and enjoy a tranquil stay.
Beyond your woodland glade there is plenty to see, including the secluded Suffolk coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and its long, sandy beaches. The charming towns of Woodbridge and Framlingham are also within driving distance and have bustling markets and boutique shopping centres. If you don’t want to venture out of your magical experience then you can explore the 115 acre nature reserve. Meet the rare breed cattle or collect eggs from the hens before booking yourself a guided wildlife walk amongst the rolling countryside. On-site activities are also available for the kids, while fresh food hampers can be arranged as a treat.
