Sustainable luxury safari tent in acres of pretty Suffolk meadowland offering wonderful access to this beautiful part of the country.
Acres of wildflower meadows, woodland, ponds and ancient trees provide the backdrop to this low-impact luxury glamping experience. Guests can take full advantage of the pretty location on this large, yet exclusive (115 acres are home to just nine separate accommodations), campsite.
Set amongst trees, overlooking an open meadow, this timber and canvas tent is private and peaceful and the light brown hues of the building materials means it blends organically with its immediate surroundings. A short walk from the car park, with no other tents overlooking it, cloth bunting adorns the wooden, canvas-shaded, deck which is home to a large dining table and chairs.
Step directly into the open plan living and dining area, with glass paned windows and a kitchen complete with an oven, with gas hob, and Belfast sink. Two comfy sofas and a coffee table offer a quiet corner to admire the views and relax and take stock of the day or make plans for tomorrow. The well-equipped kitchen provides all guests could need to produce lovely meals but camping wouldn't be camping without some campfire cooking and a Kadai barbecue and fire bowls make this an easy and convenient option.
Enjoy dinner at the large farmhouse style table or take it outside and make the most of every second of the peace and tranquility of the beautiful setting. And when bedtime beckons, choose one of two bedrooms situated up the impressive wooden staircase - a lovely double and twin bedroom - both are super-cosy and have lovely views overlooking the trees. Downstairs, there are two further bedrooms, both doubles, one is tucked away in a cupboard and the other has a beautiful timber framed four poster bed. They are all dressed with crisp linens and woollen blankets make the beds extra snuggly.
Incredibly, for a camping experience, the tent has two private bathrooms and showers, with fluffy towels, toiletries and hot and cold running water. The owners have thought of everything to make this a truly unforgettable camping experience. There are hammocks and fire pits, for star gazing nights, and there are many activities available on site to fill the daytimes.
Bushcraft and whittling workshops, guided walks, den building and nature trails are just some of the activities guests can get involved with.
