The Dial House, hidden in the heart of Norfolk’s countryside, features eight unique and beautifully furnished bedrooms. These elegantly and individually styled rooms have been inspired by the Georgian era of exploration and adventure. Several of the rooms represent stops on the Grand Tour, the 17th and 18th century trip young upper-class European men would traditionally make when they came of age. Relax in your ‘Italian Palace’ or play the part of the intellectual in a ‘Parisian Garrett’. Peruse the weird and wonderful mementoes of adventures in ‘The Print Room’ or in the ‘Natural History’ room.

Rediscover the days of Georgian Orientalism when the European fantasy of The East was at its peak in ‘The Orient’ or ‘China’. ‘Africa’ is furnished in the tradition of a gentleman’s study, decorated with souvenirs of adventures and safaris. Or return to the ‘The Days of the Raj’ when British and Indian cultures clashed and Georgian houses were awash with treasures extracted by The East India Trading Company.

The bedrooms have luxurious double beds and ensuite marble bathrooms with drench showers as well as the many fascinating curiosities that give each room its character. All rooms have huge bathtubs and you’ll find record players and state of the art sound systems.

The Dial House has a retail wing known as ‘Objects’ where hundreds of carefully curated items are for sale if you’re feeling inspired by the beautiful decor. As well as the stunning interior design, guests can enjoy locally sourced seasonal food prepared in a kitchen which runs on the concept of Bistronomy which has an unpretentious focus on the produce itself. The menus are constantly updated to reflect what’s being grown locally at the time and the food is cooked over charcoal, giving it a unique flavour.

The Dial House is located just 30 minutes from the beautiful Norfolk Coast and the Norfolk Broads. Explore the seaside town of Cromer or Blakeney and if it’s the right time of year, visit the seals at Horsey Gap. The historic city of Norwich is also nearby, with a medieval Cathedral, pretty streets to explore and some excellent shopping opportunities. The Norfolk Broads, more than 125 miles of rivers and lakes, can be navigated by boat and are a great way to explore some of Norfolk’s most beautiful scenery and villages.
