Enjoy a relaxing break in this luxury holiday cottage tucked away on the edge of the Peak District National Park. This five-bed cottage sleeps up to 14 guests and offers stylish decor, fantastic views from the garden and wonderful countryside surroundings. And with its location near to the towns of Matlock and Bakewell, it's an ideal base from which to explore the local area.
Get comfy in the spacious lounge that is flooded with natural light thanks to the big windows. The lounge has a large corner sofa and three additional leather chairs and guests can fire up the wood burning stove in winter to stay nice and warm as they settle in with a glass of wine. The lounge also features a wall-mounted flat screen TV and surround sound speakers, making your movie nights extra-special. Next to the lounge sits the games room with a pool table. Kids and adults alike will love this space, which has French doors that open out onto the main lawn at the front of the house.
The kitchen at The Beeches is the heart of the home and offers an array of amazing amenities to make cooking a breeze. The room also offers bifolding doors that create a wonderful light and spacious atmosphere, and the room also has a stylish porcelain tiled floor, underfloor heating and an impressive central island. When it comes to amenities, you have a large Aga with two cooking chambers, two hobs and a warming plate, a Neff dishwasher, large double fridge, microwave and pantry cupboard for all your essentials to be stored. Leading from the kitchen is a utility room that has a stable door to outside and offers a great spot to leave your muddy boots after a day of hiking. The impressive dining room has a natural stone fireplace and a large table that offers the ideal location for a celebratory meal.
Stepping outside, the patio features a small table and four chairs, and a lovely big seating area features rattan sofas, comfy cushions and side tables, meaning you can socialise outside when the sun is shining. The patio then flows around to the front of the property and allows you to take in the far-reaching views. Here sits a chiminea, a large wooden table, chairs and a parasol that can seat 10 guests. There's also a wonderful lawned garden that's great for games or lounging in the sun.
When bedtime beckons, The Beeches has five luxury bedrooms that each offer a great night's sleep. Each room has lovely views, a TV and plenty of storage space. They also all offer the option of being set up as a super king size double or twin room, offering you plenty of flexibility. The three bathrooms all provide luxury facilities that make your day that little bit better. The delightful ensuite to the master bedroom is a huge wet room space with a Honsgrohe massage shower, a bath with pull-out shower attachment, wash basin and WC. The shared family bathroom also has a large bath with a pull-out shower attachment, a separate walk-in shower with massage facilities, a wash basin and WC. There's another ensuite, for bedroom five, which has a walk-in shower.
The Beeches is located on a hill just outside the village of Darley Dale. You're a short distance from the towns of Matlock and Bakewell, where there are plenty of charming shops, cafes and restaurants to choose from. Guests can also visit the fabulous Chatsworth House, which is a firm family favourite. Lovers of the great outdoors will be delighted to know that there are a number of amazing walks right on your doorstep. You can walk to Chatsworth Estate, Beeley Moor, Stanton in the Peak and the famous Nine Ladies Stone Circle.
